Fair point. And I believe DG started in January where Milton came in over the summer

 

He absolutely does and we've seen a lot of daggers on 10 yard slants/posts - many of which go for big YAC plays. The other choice is that DG chooses not to throw to those routes and prefers the reads on the deep balls because chicks dig the deep ball, even when there are immediate options on the play. I'd like to see more to RBs out of the backfield though on delayed routes or check downs too. We never see that.

That said I also do think there's a lot of calls for deeper passes even to the TEs.

 

I love the 10-12 yard pass just beyond the chains and let the WRs make YAC. But we have only seen DG make this throw with a receiver in stride a few times... 90% of his intermediate passes are comeback routes on the sidelines where we can't make another move.

 

That’s heup, that’s the air raid. I also still think he is limiting DGs choices a bit too. What reads to make, when to and when not to run. He has gotten looser with DG but I still think he has him in a bit of a leash.

In the end though, 90% of the time our receivers can just run by defenses and DG can drop dimes, why not keep doing it?

 

A friend had a current player tell him that they had dg playing with a limited playbook but were opening it up.

I think back to that year when Tacko BJ and Aubrey were all hurt most of the year and we were still able to be pretty damn competitive. I’ll let JD prove me wrong, but my expectations are NIT.

 

Is it true there is a high school playoff game 30 minutes away that is expected to have 12k at? Will that out draw the Tulsa game?

 

On years where we don't play OU or OSU in Tulsa, the only sellout at our stadium is the Jenks-Union game. Jenks is 30 minutes from the stadium and will probably draw 12k.

I’m just saying how after Memphis ran for like 3 miles on us out of the wild cat in last years champ game, we’ve seen it in every game since. I’m just happy we actually learned how to adjust to it
