Reading gets much easier in the Sanderson books. A lot less work to move the plot along.

 

The only problem was he changed Matt a little, for the worse. Which he admits.

 

Last few books are some of the best fantasy books I’ve ever read.

200 pages into A Memory of Light. The Sanderson WOT books might be the best fantasy I’ve ever read, I’m fucking flying through this

It will be awhile before I’m able to emotionally invest in a big book series again but eventually I’m going to have to read some Sanderson.

The 3 Sanderson books are up there with LOTR and Malazan as the best fantasy I’ve ever read

After sleeping on it I have now come to the conclusion that finishing the books has just made me more upset about the show

 

You’ll like Licanius Trilogy by James Islington as well.

 

I got those sitting on my shelf. Thinking about diving into those after I catch up on all of Joe Abercrombie's stuff

 

Looks encouraging from the little bit we see.
-First look at Lanfear
-Glad they are establishing Ishamael as his own self quickly and not as Ba'alzamon/Dark One
-12 forsaken at the table. That surprised me a lot. Thought they would cut down and maybe blend together some of them.
-I'm hopeful for it getting better because we're getting into the meat and potatoes now instead of set-up. Getting the Aiel and Seanchan in there is much needed

 

Just seems like they’re straying so far from source material for no reason.

 

How many seasons will this get before it gets cancelled? The storyline feels disjointed as fuck. Not all the books were that great, but feels like they could’ve improved on it and shortened some storylines instead of veering so far away.
