Another banger of an ep, the quality of this show is one of the most pleasant surprises in recent memory

 

completely agree, the wait was worth it for a change.

 

Haven’t seen a side by side yet, but that last shot of the episode looked nearly identical to one of the frames from the comics. Awesome.

 

Some nerd cast I was listening to said they were pretty much identical.

So what is everyone theory/predictions/questions for the finale?

Onslaugh. Think this is close to 100%. I think Rogue probably attacks Mags giving Xavier the opening to mind wipe him.

Phoenix or Madelynn saves Jean and takes out Bastion.

Bishop. He HAS GOT to show up and reset things, don’t see them allowing Mags to kill hundreds of millions and leave the world in ruin. They said Genosha can’t be reset but the circumstances around it could. Hell maybe he goes back and tells Charles not to leave the Xmen in Mags care and Gambit is never at Genosha.

Mystique, still think she may be Dr Cooper and I think her appearance in the finale could lead to….

Apocalypse. Surely they have a teaser, or maybe whatever Bishop does will bring the big guy out of hiding. With the Wolvie Fatal Attraction storyline you’d think they’ll have Apoc around to reset him next season.

The Avengers. The worlds about to end, got to think we see some of the other hero’s and if next season centers around Onslaught that could bring in the avengers and lead to an Avengers v X-Men storyline in the future.

 

Just binged 9 episodes. Should’ve waited until the last episode came out. Feels bad man. Like everyone said this was wayyyyy better than anticipated. Thoroughly enjoying it.

 

whatever happens I just hope it doesn’t make the whole season meaningless

Hits: Mags mind wipe. Phoenix. Avengers cameos. Apocalypse.

Misses: Mystique, she’s got to be up to something somewhere. Bishop, shows up but no resets. Seems pretty clear that it will be Apoc that brings back Gambit and fixes Wolvie (and probably makes both of them his horsemen). Onslaught, could go in both categories, it happened but bet they focus on Apoc next season and Onslaught appears for season 3. (The number of the radio station was the date on Onslaught’s 1st appearance.)

I didn’t realize the bro actor from White Lotus season 2 was the voice of Bastion, that’s pretty great casting.

 

Apparently also the voice actor for Hector in the Castlevania series.

 

That was some excellent stuff, still processing. Looking forward to more.

I expected them to have Wolverine with bone claws during the intro. 0/10 would not watch again.

 

I purposely didn’t watch last weeks episode so I have two episodes to watch starting now. Avoided all spoilers.
