Played some Halo 2 with a friend tonight. Really don't want to go back on there until there are ranks for the 2 main playlists we play (Halo CE and Team Hardcore). Long story short, we had teammates combine to go 4-70 on a game of Midship CTF. And we only lost 5-3.
Mix of Dragon Age meets Assassin's Creed just not a instant riposte over and over it is all about timing and learning your opponents moves. The combat used to be complex, but I believe they toned it down for this game. You have to use the terrain, riposte, sign(spells) potions from alchemy, and just skill to win most fights.
I heard previous Witcher games the fighting elements were comparable to Dark Souls and its difficulty. Having played Dark Souls, I find this hard to believe but I think I will love it even if it is a 75% of the difficulty of Dark Souls. Seems like that would be a perfect difficulty.
That is a good comparison on hard difficulty it does have a DS type difficulty, and the combat is a smoother version of DS with more magic use.
BF: Hardline....I'm getting on for the next two hours or so as soon as I finished dinner. Probably gonna be within the next 15-20 minutes.
Just booted up Master Chief Collection for the first time in awhile and there's another GB+ update :/ hopefully its worthwhile? Also May's "games with gold" are up if you haven't already seen them....nothing too crazy. Link. I'll probably download Mafia 2 for my 360 since I've never played it. Really pissed I missed out on Assassin's Creed: Blackflag and the newest Gears of War. Not like they were amazing games but I should have downloaded them for my 360 for ole times sake.
Can't wait for finals to be over so I can start playing my xbox more. It's just collecting dust over there, and this makes me sad. Anyone planning on playing Destiny again when the new DLC comes out? Seems like this DLC is primarily buffing the crucible (pvp). Would love to not be foreveralone. The raids (especially Vault of Glass) are fun as fuck. http://www.destinythegame.com/expansions/expansion-two
Think I'm gonna wait for some serious discounts on Destiny DLC. Pretty annoyed overall at the repetitive experience etc. so I'm gonna wait for awhile. Anyone wanna get on BF4 or BF:H?
so if anyone is a time warner cable subscriber, they finally added an app for live tv. they had one for 360, but never had it for xb1 until recently. if you already have your console set up on your cable not a big deal, but I had mine set up in a separate room with no cable so its pretty nice to get access to all channels without needing a box.
gonna have to start looking for you when I get on. These days it's either FIFA with TMB club or me and IZWT running in BFH. forgot who else played that but now I remember I think it was you and UKCats. We were fuckin up Heist all day yesterday
I was excited about that Starwars until I got to the last line of that chart. Holy fuck what a weak game. Campaign was what I was most looking forward to. How do you not have some kind of story mode these days? Fucking tease
Smaller and faster for sure. Money system to buy guns is great (IMO). Some assignments are virtually impossible which fucking sucks. I would think they would put more thought into those. I thoroughly enjoy it and I don't regret paying for Premium. Definitely a different experience from BF4 though.
I have applied to join your black panther party. Now tell me what it means. Completely different it's a lot smaller and fast paced. In the mode we played yesterday it was cops vs robbers and there were no vehicles (which I understand to be a big part of most BFs, but BF4 was my first).
I actually like it more than BF4. It's easier to get into and feels more balanced. Access to weapons though the purchase system opened the entire class up early. There aren't the same amount of vehicles but I like that. The campaign is pretty neat and adds some new life with the stealth elements.
I use the battlelog app frequently to adjust load outs and the such. The platoon is just a way to get battlefield players on here together. It transfers between games too so bf4, BFH, ps4 Xbox one PC can see who else on TMB plays.
I definitely plan to play BF starting this weekend. So close to freedom. Applied to join the tmb battlefield group btw
I downloaded state of decay last night and played it for about an hour. Pretty fun zombie game. From what I've gathered, it's open world like GTA or red dead. Only $30 for the download until may 12.
My friend played State of Decay on the 360 and had me get it on the X1 and stream it as I play. There are certain missions or jobs that will stay forever, some that will disappear and some that will come and go. Also have to keep in mind that the developers didn't mean for you to be able to do all of the things that pop up. So you have to prioritize and just kinda hope you got it right. Not a bad game so far but not great either. I'm probably enjoying it more with my friend watching and in a party with me than if I were playing it by myself.
Anyone use the Sling TV app yet? Looking to cut cable once I move into my new place and trying to decide what all I need outside the xbox. Thinking of HD antenna plus just the ESPN, Netflix, and HBO apps but Sling TV has intruiged me
It's worth it, I have a similar situation. Went the ESPN + Netflix route for a while. If it was any more expensive I'd say don't worry about it but for the price it's nice to have TNT/TBS etc. Channels are odd, hope they can get all the networks soon, that's the only downside. First month is free anyway so you might as well test it out and decide from there. Sometimes it's frustrating when it won't go full HD but I have shitty internet.
Yeah getting the HD antenna so I can get the main networks. Outside of that I really dont need much else.
Ya, to be honest watch ESPN/video streaming apps are all I need except for playoff basketball and the occasional thing I want to watch on the networks.
I did the sling TV trial. It was nice, but it got dicey when it came to watching popular shows live like Mad Men. Think I also had issues watching the final four as well. If they improve the quality then I am all in. Other wise I'll just go the WatchESPN/HBOGo/Netflix/Showtime Anytime route for now.
There's a trend of developers releasing games that aren't finished, or not worth $60. They bank on a huge portion of their sales coming from pre-orders. Need to be taught a lesson. There's also really no true advantages to pre-ordering.
yea, it really just becomes you being a fanboy who wants to say they can play the game right at midnight on the release date but then don't actually play the game right at midnight
While I agree CD Projekt Red is its own company, so they aren't controlled by a huge Triple A parent company like EA, so they won't release their golden goose till it is as close to perfect as they can be. Which is why they have delayed this game for over a year because they didn't feel it was ready. If any company deserves your preorder it is CPR
Friends and I just started playing FIFA 15 because it's free with EA Access now and it's pretty fun to us even though none of us really care for soccer so we may end up getting 16... what's changing? Is it good or bad?
Outside of FIFA (as stated above) I won't preorder anything from EA, Activision, or Microsoft unless the preorder is absolutely worth it (% discount, free larger DLC, other items). I felt like this game was worth it. Smaller company that seems to be very pro-consumer, has already delayed the game multiple times to correct issues, promising some free DLC later (16 DLC packages), 2 huge expansion packs will come out for it (30 hours of gameplay). As far as preordering in general, I don't know that it makes sense to totally stop. If you want to then fine. There are enough games that have burned people (H:MCC the biggest one in my book) that I get it if you don't want to preorder, but there are some companies that do things correct and they IMO are worth giving preorders to.
