really liked the pod but similarly could not stand how they had the same opinion about everything i dont need PTI-style artificial debating but it'd be nice to have some disagreements (like the ringer's extra points)
Can we give up on the narrative that the Bears dropped the ball on developing JF when the next team is thinking about making him a returner?
That’s like having an ex-girlfriend you repeatedly cheated on, and when you hear she got caught going through her new guy’s phone, you say “See, can people stop saying it’s my fault she has trust issues.”
its not. I think she has her own podcast coming out soon. I've always loved Tice and Mays together. I loved Charles Robinson and Terez Paylor too (RIP). The Yahoo podcast slowly went to poop without Terez.
if they think that’s bad, look at our WRs. Their take home pay is even less after they pay their legal fees and confidential settlements
this was already discussed ITT. But regarding your latter point, I am waiting for game and draft coverage to actually integrate people like Tice who really scratch my intellectually interest about football, scheme, roster building, etc. without boring me and falling flat. There is definitely space for a podcast to actually enter the mainstream of sports TV, but I think those attempts fail more often than not
rather take a pre-season flyer on him as a depth guy than trade assets for him like Miami did last year. But it seems like he will be out of the league soon. Too much bad film. big fan of the Smoot signing tho
Pretty amazed how shitty he has been in the pros, what stands out is how he just does not give a fuck blocking but was an absolute monster at it at ND. Guy just does not care.
I'm sure the Bills will do their part trying to get him to care about blocking. that's how Gabe stayed on the field for weeks despite not having any catches. But I would be shocked if anyone gets through to him at this point.
TBH it was working last year until Hill and Waddle got hurt/banged up. When they could rely on Tua to make a good read pre snap and just sling it in 1.5 seconds knowing that Hill or Waddle won where they were supposed to, things cooked. When Cedrick Wilson, Chase Claypool, gimpy Tyreek and Waddle werent and Tua had to hold it, things went to shit. Exposed the OL and also exposes Tua's flaws as someone who couldn't make things happen off schedule when the OL broke.
Tua will be the first guy to use the in-game Guardian cap full-time if Patrick Paul has to play this season.
seems like Yahoo Sports dropped a big bag for Tice. Otherwise, not sure why he'd move over there unless this frees him up for other opportunities that The Athletic doesn't allow.
I mean, unless Levis is absolute dog shit, I don’t see how the titans are a bottom 3 team like all these power rankings are predicting
