human scenes have always been the worst part of these Godzilla movies so a series centered around people in the Godzilla universe doesn't tickle my fancy but I'm definitely going to watch

Yeah, the Godzilla and Movies subreddits are gushing over it. Godzilla scenes were gripping, final act was great and the human plot actually had high stakes to it. Best human plot of the movies.

 

My adhd will struggle with a full movie of subtitles but sounds worth it.

I'd agree. I liked it a good bit and the human part wasn't that corny.

 

Minus One was the best Godzilla. It’s much like the original with better special effects. It’s not often that you care about the characters, but they did a good job of humanizing them. Shin Godzilla had better destruction but the camera angles allowed you to be there with Minus One. Only missing the fantastic monster battles in King of Monsters.

 

Does it matter IMax vs Dolby? think i'm going to go see it tomorrow. Too many people I know raving about it.

Definitely enjoyed it - every single time Big G appeared on screen was a-MA-zing - but I felt it lost a lot of momentum leading into the final assault. Could have easily lost 20 mins of the boring stuff and been a much tighter movie.

Agree the trailer isn’t great, but all of the previous entries have been awesome so I have faith.
