We definitely wanted him, I can’t remember what happened exactly but thought there was something about getting someone else at the position and that hurt his feelings.
he was slow played, can’t remember for sure, maybe it was when we had SKJ committed. We never pushed for him until it was late in the game though
I went back and looked and I think it was Jabri, which I remember thinking was weird because they didn't play the same position or even really have overlapping skill sets.

He’s just the UVA player/alum currently in the best position to take over the program from an optics perspective. If Shawn Moore were the Co-OC at Tennessee or something, it would be him.
with the right coordinators (which seems to me to be about 80% of what goes into a HC succeeding or not), Dex could be a homerun here...but yeah, that doesn't make any sense for another team, particularly a VA team.
You are wayyy off by saying avg to below avg position coach For one, he just coached the safeties (the most difficult position to coach on defense) at PSU to the #1 passing defense in the country, and also the #1 total defense in the country (fewest ypg since 2011 Alabama)
I personally have not given him credit for what is happening on defense at PSU. that has a lot to do with Manny Diaz and a little to do with confirming my own bias.
I honestly have no idea what he’s done there either, just thought if they were happy with their co/dc he’d have been promoted to DC when Pry left. He’s been coaching a good long while now.
i think that leaves 3 rbs for next season, Donte Hawthorne, Xavier Brown, and Noah Vaughn. AC will be our leading returning rusher. will have to get 1 maybe 2 in the portal or finishing this class.
