Y'all think all of my life is rap? That's hoe shit, I got a son to raise, but I can see you know nothin' 'bout that ...oof
Someone summed it up really eloquently. M Drake: you’re short and I have more $ than you Kendrick: I hate your entire existence kill yourself
Future's middle name of Demun and one of his biggest songs is Throwaway. I assume there's a double meaning with Future having a kid with Ciara and Drake having one with a ig model and calling the mother's throwaways but I could be looking too far into it. It's definitely about demon/Demun and Throwaway though
I like Kendrick better than Drake but I was underwhelmed. I've only listened to it once but it seemed like most of what he said is stuff that's already been used by Pusha T and Meek Mill ie stuff about Drake's son and ghost writers
Drake: you're short and you're getting extorted Kendrick: you're also getting extorted, I genuinely hate you as a person, I view you as one of the hoes that you're always out poppin' your ass with, you're a pedophile, your son will never grow up to be a real man with a spineless bitch like you as a father, and you'll never be truly accepted by the culture that you desperately want to be a part of. Stop saying the N-word. Sheesh, K Dot.
I mean…what did Drake say that was new though other than implying Kendrick’s wife cheated and that he has a bad record deal (which seemingly everyone in music, including Drake, does as well)? It’s not like the world didn’t already know Kendrick is short
This is from Genius, I figured it had to do with the “Like That” verse in some way so it makes sense: Future’s middle name is “Demun” – Here Kendrick is implying that Drake wanted to be future until he got hurt (chipped) by one of Future’s old hoes (throwaway). This is one of the main reasons that sparked the Drake/Future beef, and was even somewhat revealed on Drake’s For All The Dogs track “What Would Pluto Do”, unbeknownst to the rap world at that time. This is also a reference to Future’s song “Throw Away”. Kendrick is also saying that Drake is a demon until he was “chipped” by one of Kendrick’s throwaway verses, or a verse that Kendrick really didn’t care much about, such as his verse on “Like That”. https://genius.com/31596539
I wish country singers had beef. I pulled up late on my tractor, I can’t believe I slept with that fat whore.
NPR often has rap interludes, but they had Humble on when I got in my car this morning and that shit cracked me up.
Haha so true. I understood maybe 10% of it before reading explanations for the rest. You have to really follow that stuff a lot to get it and I just don't. I love reading the explanations though.
Well happy Friday to you too, Kendrick. Is this another Drake song before Drake's writers could respond?
