This year’s “pays homage to” Condredge Holloway who was the first black player to start at QB in the SEC, but he played in the 70s. He wasn’t the first black player at Tennessee. But they wear a “Smokey Grey” alternate due to the Great Smoky Mountains.
This feels like something for the rookies to keep as a memento. Could’ve been done better tho for sure.
Tennessee is supposed to roll out a new Smokey Grey uniform every year for the next few years per their contract with Nike. If they go the route of using a template from an older jersey to honor a player, a smokey using the early 80s Reggie White jerseys would be sweet.
These would be great if they didn’t do the chrome helmet. White with a green O on the side would’ve been way better
ASU a decade+ in of largely ditching Sparky on the helmet for 62 versions of a fork still makes me sick.
Timberwolves Throwback of their original uniform design: They brightened the green a lot and made the letters/numbers smaller on the front. Not a fan of the size change but still like them as these were some of my favorite uniforms. The wolf logo
Washington State wearing only gray and white this weekend. At least gray is one of their school colors, but still not a big fan of all gray.
the Marbury/Garnett ones are great but these Laettner/Gugliotta/Pooh era ones have always been the best
That was the first big game we've won where we've worn them. It's almost been a curse. I like our white helmets the best
I hate the chrome helmets, but I think I’m one of the few who actually likes the “eggshell” look. The chrome numbers and pant stripe are dumb, though.
So Oregon is basically changing its school colors and or is it just completely ignoring them outside of the throwbacks at this point?
