Pereira going straight to the top and looking for a title really makes Bo look like a clown. He was fighting Strickland in 3rd fight and Izzy in his 4th and Bo wants more cans.
About time but I’ll believe it actually happens as we get to fight week. I just hope he’s been taking training seriously
Who is the guy who took a Connor fight on short notice? Mendez? This fight is going to go like that. Only Chandler won’t gas that quick. Connor will. And it will be a tko or something late in the second.
Tsarukyan is so damn annoying. He's always pissed off but not in a badass way, its like an annoyed little child. So sad we didn't see him get subbed.
Saw where Illia was tweeting about the BMF belt. It’s so funny how the conversation all the sudden changed around that belt once Justin and Max(well… Max mostly) held it instead of Masvidal
That is going to be one drunk singing crowd. Whereas American UFC crowds are drunk testosterone to the max, UK crowds feels more like a huge party. I imagine Leon is headlining that one.
Hill over compensating for not backing up his bravado at ufc 300. Will be less than 3 months after he was knocked the F out. Stupid to take a fight vs a guy who only throws power with such a short turnaround. dude should take 6 months and fully heal everything. Are we even sure the Achilles is 100%? Rountree also throws brutal leg kicks. Whats the rush outside the paycheck? Why not headline a Fight Night in July vs a huge underdog. If he needs the money asap I get it but maybe be a little more selective with matchmaking. and I’m not out here saying I’m gonna bet on Khalil or anything. Just bad business from Hill.
I think it’s a good matchup for Hill, but I agree about the short notice concern. He seems to still be in complete denial about what happened at 300.
It just doesn't really make sense for Hill's career trajectory. If Hill wins I highly doubt his subsequent fight would be for the belt. His fight vs Alex looked like pros vs joes (and I think Hill is a great fighter, Alex is just that good). But if Rountree wins, he can pretty easily slide into a title shot as fresh blood and break the circle jerk of Pereira vs Prochazka vs Hill. Khalil has been in the UFC 8 years, if he wins he will be on a 6 fight win streak dating back to Sept 2021. He's in the top 10 now, if he beats Hill he is top 5. Basically if he wins he gets a shot at the title, or he gets put in a title eliminator at worst. So we have Hill who is definitely not going to be his same old self after eating that shot, fighting to be a fight a way from another title shot (at best). Versus a guy who has been building momentum over the past few years and feasibly could be one away from the belt. O yeah and Hill is putting his ranking on the line... Bad business.
Ankalaev could be next be he’s suggested not till the Abu Dhabi card on Oct 26 and Alex quickly said that’s way too far away, he wants his next fight in the summer.
Yeah Ankalaev is in the conversation for next title shot, or next eliminator... But idk I don't think the organization loves his style...
