What the fuck is Vicario doing on these plays? Fuck the guy up. Take a card. Elbow to the fucking neck but you can't let that guy push you into the goal on ever set.
I'd rather give up a penalty and send a message than let this happen every fucking time an opponent gets a corner.
Oh well that’s the problem right there, we haven’t taken a shot on target. Ange, I have a suggestion.
So obvious we need an actual traditional 9 on the pitch when Romero gives us our best threat as a target in the box
Who is the best set piece coach in the world? Devote the entirety of the summer transfer budget to them.
Obviously don't disagree but where have we seen that he is our set piece coach. I've seen people say this, but I never saw it actually said officially.
Just thinking about how crazy the narrative would have been if VAR made the right call on Oliver's fuckup and Saka's goal was taken away, and Spurs go on to win or draw. Press would be having a frenzy. Now it is just a footnote that will only be paid attention to by Spurs fans.
Regarding that, read a Reddit comment that NBC Sports suggested VAR asked Oliver to the monitor and he said no. That’s absurd if true. I will happily edit this if it isn’t.
Hmm, that would make a lot of sense based on how the commentators kept going on about it. They would have heard that. Reminds me of what happened in the Liverpool game when they did the same. I bet the fact that Arsenal scored gave him pause if this story is true.
I mean, fuck Oliver. 2 minutes should have been added on for this blatant disregard and the time that elapsed after this.
it's actually probably Jedinak. whatever. This is just a fraction of the issue though, when the larger problem is we don't have enough players willing to attack the ball in the air. Only Romero of the regular starters is good at it; Richarlison is OK but plays sparingly. Summer window will be interesting. We have a top 10 roster, but not a top 4 roster. Question is how do you improve the weaknesses without fucking up what we actually do well at? It's why I think Timo Werner would be wasteful (provided they aren't going to entertain Son offers - if they're considering selling Son, then yeah, sign him). His finishing isn't good enough and he doesn't improve one of our weaknesses (final third possession / passing, set pieces).
I think mostly because Richarlison has been hurt. I suspect we are going to find out that a lot of players have been carrying injuries once the season ends. Also, I think has to do with not finding the right combo yet.
I'm just saying, if they sign him to a permanent and no other attacking players this summer, they're going to finish 5th or 6th (at best) next season too.
I can't see any way we don't bring in an attacking player. That said, I also want to see some of these kids getting a chance.
How is this not reviewed? Simply because he got a header off? I was thinking this at the time but they didn't show a good replay.
That definitely puts him off target and using your hands isn’t quite the spirit of football, but idk about a pen, there’d be a penalty every corner (not for us, mind you, but for opponents).
I like you both Very emotional day, bless up You’re acting like me after the calls from 2 years ago by Tierney which were way more egregious
Has anyone ever seen Ben White and Donald Trump in the same room at the same time? Their complexion is like for like.
From the Declan kick? No Udogie, no Davies. Royal presumably? Or now that we have a quality backup, VdV with Dragusin central? That’s a hell of a blow.
it is indeed Royal… and the madman Ange actually did it, he benched Maddison for his performances and put Kulusevski in his place to bring in Johnson. AND Richy back at 9 to let Son play in a position he is effective in. AND Sarr is fit enough to start and give his sidekick boost to Bissouma who is only effective when Sarr is by his side. A really logical lineup. AND Mikey Moore on the bench! God damn, I hope this is a good day, we need one.
