I have him on my big board going number 1 to the Titans. He can play both sides of the ball at multiple positions. This pushes them to the conference finals. He could be a HOFer at wr, te, rb, lb, cb, safety or de.
CNN @CNN 4m4 minutes ago The leopard that mauled three people at an Indian school last week has escaped: http://cnn.it/1XuRPYS Leopard that mauled 3 in India escapes New Delhi (CNN)The leopard that went on a rampage at an Indian school last week and mauled three people escaped from its enclosure on Monday. The nearly 100-pound, male leopard jumped over the fences at the Bangalore's Bannerghatta Zoo, according to a witness account. There were no surveillance cameras at the zoo to capture the moment when the leopard fled. The leopard gained notoriety after he roamed into a private school in suburban Bangalore for nearly 14 hours last Sunday. Security video footage showed the leopard prowling the empty hallways of Vibgyor International School, chasing people throughout the school grounds, and biting and clawing terrified victims. Three people were mauled and the injured were taken to the hospital for treatment. After it was caught, the leopard was moved to the zoo for treatment, said Ravi Ralph, the state wildlife chief. The animal could be in a national park that surrounds the zoo, Ralph said. A major search is underway to locate the big cat. Ralph sought to allay concerns of a repeat appearance by the leopard. The chances of the leopard straying into residential areas are small because the zoo is surrounded by a national park that doesn't contain any human habitat, he said. But authorities are not taking any chances and have alerted residential neighborhoods. The 6-year-old leopard had been suspected of straying onto the school grounds from a nearby forest. About 1,500 leopards are estimated to live in the state of Karnataka, but they rarely strayed far into urban areas. But conflicts between humans and people are becoming more common as animals lose their habitats. Residents in the nearby area have been notified to call the authorities if they spot the leopard.
You really have to be a dipshit to let an animal like that escape. It's not like it's plotting and scheming like a prison inmate. It's abilities are fairly well known. Act accordingly.
Also, leopards are in a prime position to surpass the jaguar on my BCCS. It's really too close to call at this point.
Took this picture of a snow leopard a few days ago at a zoo. It amazes me how big its fucking paws are.
Would be really cool to see a thread about domestic house cats raising tiger cubs and such!!!!! Also, we need to make a thread filled with gifs of dogs being surprised. Kills me when the lion sneaks up on that friend
They are kind of similar, both amazing cats. I always thought leopards were bigger for some reason, but it is the jaguar that reigns supreme in that regard. Jaguars are also the only cat that goes for the kill by puncturing a prey's skull with its canine teeth, opposed to the old choke out method employed by most other cats. According to my juggsian research, at least. http://blog.londolozi.com/2013/10/the-difference-between-leopard-and-jaguar/
Pretty much the day after I discovered this thread I saw an article that Cougars were back in Tennessee for the first time in about 100 years. Have been around 8 confirmed sightings in the past 4 months. Decide to go check TWRA Cougar sightings map to see where they were. Well one of them was about 200 yards from my grandparents bottom land.... On the day that I was out there walking around with just a fucking shotgun with target load. Not that it would matter, but I'm definitely carrying a pistol out there in the future. STRICTLY for self defense. Dont want to hurt these beautiful animals if I dont have to.
I'm kind of appalled that the Siberian Tiger isn't a unanimous #1 overall seed in this thread's Big Cat Tourney.
Siberian Tigers are badass and would take down a Bengal Tiger in a fight (mostly due to size alone). I prefer the Bengal though, partially because its choice of climate greatly increases the chances of me ever being able to pet one.
Lions on the loose in Kenyan capital © Provided by AFP At least two lionesses are reported to have left Nairobi National Park and are roaming through a highly populated suburb of the Kenyan capital Wildlife rangers in the Kenyan capital said Friday they were hunting for two lions who left Nairobi's national park and went into "highly populated" areas. Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) issued an appeal, "for help to get two lionesses that strayed from the Nairobi National Park." "Lions are dangerous wild animals. Avoid provoking the lions by confronting them," said KWS spokesman Paul Udoto. At least two lionesses are reported to have late Thursday left the park, spread over 117 square kilometres (45 square miles) where buffalo and rhino roam just seven kilometres from the bustling high-rise city centre. It is not the first time lions have prowled into Nairobi. The big cats find themselves under growing pressure as one of Africa's fastest growing cities creeps onto ancient migration routes and hunting grounds. Sometimes the lions are killed by livestock farmers protecting their herds, other times they prowl leafy gardens giving residents a fright. "These are highly populated areas and that is why we are intensifying the search," Udoto said. "Anyone with information about them should share with us immediately." Udoto said two lionesses were last sighted around Nairobi's Langata district. "Our teams comprising veterinary officials have been in Langata looking for the animals," he said. While the park is fenced in on the city side -- some bars even have terraces where one can view animals while enjoying a cold drink -- the park is open-sided elsewhere to allow the annual wildlife migration in search of grazing. But the land is under threat from increasing urbanisation and more intensive agriculture, and the routes used by migrating herds in search of new pastures as well as the carnivores that follow for fresh meat are growing narrower. Lions are estimated to have declined in number by as much as three-quarters since 1980, and to occupy less than a tenth of their historic range across Africa.
I would be a nervous wreck with a dog around a big cat... I'm guessing that's a zoo in one of those friend programs, but I would be so attached to the dog no matter what and I would worry constantly.
There's actually a good history of tigers (and probably other big cats) becoming familial with all kinds of animals. Here's a tiger cub that's being raised by a pig.
I'll take you through my emotions watching this video Fuck you pelican but thanks for the recruiting updates Fuck you pelican Fuck you pelican you terrible bastard I hope all Pelicans die We good pelican, never had a doubt
