I'm at least smart enough to know boundaries and not to climb into pits filled with animals that could kill me
Dump, your lack of critical thinking skills is sometimes downright maddening. I think that's why everyone here gets so frustrated with you.
The lack of critical thinking skills shown by the parents when their kid said that he was going into enclosure no matter what maddens me
You're a 30-something that still lives in his mom's house and has yet to have sex. One would have to question the parenting skills of your parents.
Blame definitely does not belong with this type of parenting here: Kim O’Connor, who shot the video, said she saw the boy and his mom before he climbed through the public barrier at the zoo. “I heard the exchange while I’m waiting. ‘I’m going to go in.’ ‘No, you’re not.’ ‘I’m going to go in.’ ‘No, you’re not.’ The mother turns around to her other children,” O’Connor said.
I'm glad to see that they're not trying to profit off of this from innocent families. That would make them even shittier parents
I feel like we're not talking about how bad to the bone this kid is...I bet he could already whip my ass
I don't have to, man. How many people visit that zoo annually? How much money raised goes to benefit conservation efforts? I mean it doesn't take some peer reviewed to know that apes are a big hit at zoos and zoos do a lot for the planet as far as conservation and biodiversity goes. If you're unfamility with how important those things are to you send me a PM and I can send you some really cool YouTube videos that explain it. Here's the numbers for 2014-15 for the zoo. Quite a bit of money flowing through cinci (kind of a surprise given its a pretty poor town). http://cincinnatizoo.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/AnnualReport_FY-2014-15.pdf As far as the kid, we've established he's African american, from Ohio, and has a shitty mother. Statistically speaking there's a small chance he'll amount to anything, given the public education system and economic climate in Ohio as well as its rampant institutional racism. Unless he gets some kind of athletic scholarship to Xavier or another top tier school or drops a fire mixtape he's pretty much fucked. Granted, he can be an outlire and become a proud DeVry Grad with a fat wife and multiple accounts on a message board but its likely he'll regress to the mean with his life and end up working at Enterprise Rent-A-Car after a brief stint at a junior college. As a species we've pretty much circumvented natural selection with medicine so darwinism isn't really at play here.
For the record, I'm not defending anyone. I'm not a gorilla expert, or a parenting expert. I'm one of the few people left though, who understands that sometimes, shit just happens. We don't always need to find someone to pay for every bad thing that happens. Sometimes a series of unfortunate events and constants leads to tragedy. Nothing is solved by witch-hunting the parents and scrutinizing every step they took that day. Just like nothing is solved by second-guessing the zoo's decision making process. I get much more enjoyment and comfort out of simply chastising the people who think they're experts, and bring all kinds of hot takes a faux outrage.
It was totally preventable though if the parent did their fucking job when the kid told her repeatedly that he was going into the enclosure
I'm not excusing them. I'm also not going to get sanctimonious about their parenting skills based on a couple seconds of inaction in an area where most people would believe there was more than a very small fence and a shrub guarding a giant moat. This is purely a guess, but my guess is that the parents would have been audrew level lookouts had they realized that it was that easy to fall into the enclosure.
I forgot were/when I said you did. My point is she could be a great parent but IMO in this instance she was neglectful.
Do you think they would have been more vigilant if their child told them he was going in before doing so?
Remember when you ran the camera that time he and I tag teamed that UNT sloot in your van at the In-N-Out off 75 in Plano? Good times
Says the kid who literally just said that the Gorilla was more valuable than the kid because the kid was an African American. You're really trying to get my goat today aren't you?? Can't imagine the mean thing I must have said to you to prompt this scorching barrage!
My niece says she's going to be a princess, but I'm not making preparations for my trip to Kensington Palace. There are a million things they could have done differently, and taking the kid seriously when he said it is certainly one of them. Not acting like a 4 year old's word is the word of Jesus Christ doesn't seem that crazy to me either, though.
Lol. I think this was one of the first gifs I made on this site. I wouldn't even have bknown where to find it after tinypic became such a giant pos.
It just looks that way because you can't hear the gorilla telling your momma jokes, simply a case of horsing around blown out of proportion.
