Is it true the woman from Fairborn pulled the kid back twice before he made the final climb into the enclosure? Dude at work was telling me he seen it on the news or some shit.
rob whisman@robwhisman judging by the replies to this i can safely say that the only people in ohio who aren't overly defensive play for the bengals
Jeff Schwartz @TheJeffSchwartz 18h18 hours ago @robwhisman I was raised here, never fell into a gorilla cage. Keep acting like an ass clown. I won't know, you'll be blocked, loser. Bill Rothschild @hydrophiinae 17h17 hours ago @TheJeffSchwartz @robwhisman I heard you fell into the cage at age 4, age 9 and age 19
Sure there are. But for the most part, risk already seemed pretty mitigated, no? If the chances of this happening are 1 or 2 out of 184 million...that seems pretty okay to me. I just don't get all the "how can a 3 foot fence and four foot ledge of bushes be enough of a barrier!!???!" shit considering literally hundreds of millions of people are successfully restrained by those or similar barriers every year. The outcry seems to be a bit overblown to me.
I havent read this thread but I want to know if Tobias has been here crying about the racial stuff and if Can I Spliff it has been fagging it up with every picture he can find from the internets?
How is it that we can't just get an actual fucking picture of this gorilla enclosure barrier? Google images is failing me. EDIT: Nevermind. Found a video. @ :42 you can see the barrier. That ain't much to stop someone.
It's one thing to lose your kid at a grocery store for a minute. There's not the clear imminent danger of your child getting ragdolled to death by a wild fucking animal at the grocery store. Standing next to the three foot 'fence' guarding the gorilla enclosure is more akin to walking your toddler on a sidewalk along a busy thoroughfare. My .
Monday morning quarterback for alternatives other than shooting an unarmed gorilla offer to take him to a barbershop throw a bbq party with beer and weed see if he was interested in dating trigger the hut see if he wanted to throw a football around or play basketball start a game of Madden p u t wrestling on the tv sa y you want to hear his mix tape trade the baby for a Kardashian or Screech from Saved by the Bell stage a concert headlined by Morris Day & The Time with special guest Jethro Tull.
The parents definitely deserve some blame. Seems like the bolded part would place some of the blame on the zoo as well.
actually i have been fagging it up with every picture i can find from the internets and spliff is crying about the racial stuff
How many children have climbed into enclosures at the Cincinatti Zoo in its history? Is there a statistic somewhere for that, because it'll most likely help assign a percentage of blame. IMO, you are first and foremost responsible for the safety of your child; however, the zoo has the responsibility to protect the visitors and animals from each other, so I'm sure they share in the blame. All that said, if you find yourself defending a parent that neglected her child long enough for it to sneak into a gorilla exhibit, you are so dumb.
Thanks. I was about to say that I didn't think my 4 year old can climb over a 3 foot wall, but I see from the video that you can also go through it. edit - Actually, looking at the "bushes" as well (and seeing that they're just tall grass), I'd estimate that it would take my kid all of 10 seconds to slip under that wire, charge through the high grass (not knowing that there is a cliff on the other side that he's about to fall off) and wind up in the moat.
Per Ron MaGill, their fence was compliant according to AZA guidelines. For decades 1.2 million yearly Cincinnati Zoo visitors managed not jump into a gorilla pit. Freak shit happens.
The craziest thing no one seems to see or mention is the biggest deterrent from climbing over is a giant fucking hole you have to jump into. Most 4-year-olds with any damn sense aren't going to want to jump in there
Or maybe you bust through those bushes and boom, right over the edge you go without knowing its even there?
It's a spectacularly horrific combination of dumb as shit 4yo (dumb as shit FOR a 4yo) and bad parenting
I completely disagree with this. There is no way you can jump to that conclusion without having been there observing her parenting, or having video evidence of what was happening just before and as the incident happened.
