Never a set time for these updates. Frequently check the software update page in general settings throughout the day. Most likely will have to be on wifi to download/install
Someone said they are usually released around 1pm EST but that isn't exact. One of my friends in my main group text has he beta and when he likes a post and you don't have the update it says liked and then puts the entire text in quotations and resends it out.
I bought these. Work great. h ttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0159A1PO0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
There are some really great BT headphones on amazon for cheap...these are incredible and they're 60% off
New Apple TV OS released today too. With single sign on and dark mode. No more logging in to every damn tv channel app or getting blinded by the white background at night
Update requested. 6s+ was locking up and needing rebooted 10+ times/day. Wiped and restored twice and it didn't work so they sent me a replacement phone and I set it up as new rather than using the backup in case there was a corrupted file. Worked fine for a month and started doing it again yesterday. the new IOS fixes the problem.
I'm not connected to wifi at work because it's hot garbage but I had to connect to download it. Phone wouldn't let me if I didn't.
just fyi, seeing on twitter it's bricking quite a few phones and iPads, requiring you to plug into iTunes on your PC to fix/restore Paul Taylor@NHSE_PaulT So I'd say maybe don't rush to update #ios10 just yet...
It always seems like there's some big problem that becomes apparent on the first week of words release with these updates, and that's why I tend to wait to update.
Work has need-only wifi since we handle a lot of sensitive data. My phone isn't "in need" of wifi. Even visiting clients have to have IT sweep their devices and connect them. No open public wifi because there is the risk a computer with protected data will hook into the network. Meh.
This is a little better because you can search for any gif and it will pop up immediately instead of having to have gifs saved in your camera roll
For those getting the 7 do you plan on restoring from a backup or using a new install? I've always used a backup but I have a big chunk of the "other" taking up space on my phone from using backups since the 3G and jailbreaking in the past. Thinking about going with a fresh start since photos, contacts, and calendars are all on iCloud and can easily be downloaded onto the phone now. I'll lose message history and have to reinstall apps but I'll get over that.
