The first summer he was there he was living alone in a student dorm on an unoccupied floor... Stumbling in drunk every night, hitting on coeds, etc.
My friend owns Bluebird. He was there all the damn time. There's also a story of a member of the staff having to come pick him up because he was hammered and trying to get into Briscoe.
I coach high school basketball in northeast Indiana. Have a couple of my players that are walk ons in the football program at IU. This did not come as a surprise to either of them, I don't have any specific stories (yet) but to say Kevin Wilson was an alcoholic asshole would be the understatement of the year.
So, Purdue did something last night they've never done before. Won the B1G, At Home, Against Us, On Senior Night. Crean's buyout this summer is at a million, right? Who are we gunning for? We may be playing walk-ons next year too with Bryant, Blackmon, and Hartman gone. Sad state the program is in.
Will Wade please first of all, I doubt we even fire Crean. If we do, I bet we end up going after someone like Mike Woodson or if we go outside the IU family then Chris Mack make Tony Bennett say no (again) then go hire Will Wade
After July 1st. If he's fired before then it's $4 million which puts the program in an awesome position.
swimming and diving had a great showing at the B1G championships and men's track and field as well so it's not all terrible
I'm still of the opinion Crean resigns to save face and takes a less stressful job. And sign me up for either of the Miller bros.
I tend to agree but If Sean flirted with Maryland as much as he did, ya never know. We're bigger than Maryland.
So rumors are Crean was told after the OSU game he is gone after this season and Whole Milk Harbaugh is trying to get him up to UM to be an assistant/coach in waiting under Beilein.
I don't believe it either but there's talk that his agent has met with us once already and they're set to meet again next week,
former Donovan assistant Larry Shyatt is currently an assistant with Yogi and the Mavs (owned by an IU alum) pretty sure that means it will happen
Been talking to my Pops and he's been saying the same thing. Dunno if I believe it. Can't imagine him walking away from Westbrook, but stranger things have happened.
Crean going to Michigan would be hilarious after he made such an ass of himself when he confronted Jeff Meyer a couple years ago
He signed up to coach KD and Russ, not just Russ. Can't be that rewarding to coach Westbrook either, he does what he wants, there is no offense. They aren't gonna ever win shit either without Durant, maybe he sees that writing on the wall.
Those were dark days when you have a guy like Tom Prichard starting for the Hoosiers. Only thing we could get excited for.
BK: “Well, I think I’ve always really enjoyed the fans, I always will ... On my dying day, I will think about how great the fans at Indiana were. And as far as the hierarchy at Indiana University at that time, I have absolutely no respect whatsoever for those people. With that in mind, I have no interest in ever going back to that university.” DP: "Aren't most of those people out of there, Coach?" BK: "I hope they're all dead." What a rotten, bitter prick.
I am pretty sure I have mentioned this on here before but a friend of mine from HS was a model back then and got to go fishing with RMK for some TV show he was recording. Guy drank a combo of Diet Coke and milk from a vase and apparently called my friend (who was 17 at the time) a mother fucker all day
Pops was there during Bobby's undefeated season and during IU's BBall glory days and would see Bobby at IU's golf course all the time. He couldn't believe the string of words that would come out of his mouth on the driving range alone.
please no Alford, Fife, or Woodson will probably get Chris Mack which would disappoint me could live with Archie (although I have heard he has some issues that prevented him from getting looks from some programs last summer) and Holtmann give me Will Wade though
none of these names do anything for me. I know they're not pulling Stevens or Donovan back from the NBA but it's time for them to put their money where there mouth is and push for an established winner that can take the program back to the top.
