I looked that up when I saw Brandon Harris went to UNC. No, he's waiting until mid April to decide. Maybe after spring ball art schools to see what shakes up.
well we will never know how my approach of leaving spots but filling them up with grad transfers if you cant get the right guys wouldve worked out. mightve been way worse. (well way worse is tough as guys contributing nothing but taking up a scholly (also known as Montgomery van Gordering) is actually more killing for a program than is being given credit for). I always make the following calculation. at offense you want 2qbs, 3rbs, 5wrs, 3tes and 7olinemen ready to play, at defense you want 7 DLinemen, 4 backers and 7 DBs ready to play. On top of that you have 4 specialists. That means about half your scholarships should be awarded to people who are ready to contribute in that season. Add to that that on average freshmen cant play (some positions like OL its longer, a few can play as a freshman, on average it kinda works out). Thats another quarter or your roster. So given that you have about 60-65 spots to have about 45 productive players. So only 1 in three players can not be productive in his three years he should be productive. So that means for every guy that does absolutely nothing you need 2 guys who contribute all the time from a sophomore onwards. A guy just contributing from his junior year doesnt add anything, that should be your average. Or to put it in another way, for every brandon tiassum you need a devin studstill who plays/contributes from day 1
Did you ever ghost write for Nas back in the day? This sounds like your work.... [Verse 2] All I need is one blunt, one page and one pen One prayer – tell God forgive me for one sin Matter of fact, maybe more than one Look back at all the hatred against me; fuck all of them Jesus died at age 33, there's 33 shots From twin Glocks, there's 16 apiece, that's 32 Which means one of my guns was holding 17 27 hit your crew, six went into you
got scared for half a second when I saw "SOURCE" with a pic of Brey don't blame georgetown for trying I guess
I can't even conceptualize how it would feel to like ND's football coach as much as I like Brey. I don't even really care about basketball, but man I like that dude.
Damn... Matt Ryan is bailing? Not shocked, but the guy should know he's on the cusp of breaking out after watching Farrell this year.
Wonder what's going on with him or if he's just worse than we all think. It's a little illogical if he honestly thought he would play a lot more over Vasturia/Beachem this year and seems like he had a real shot at ~25-30 mpg next year. Just seems so odd to bail. Now some of the young guys need to really step up.
Seemed to be chatter on Irish illustrated' podcast post the loss to WVU that Brey and Ryan had a bad relationship. Ryan thought he should be playing way more especially when Beachem would just go completely cold and could never shoot himself out of those slumps Ryan had very bad body language during the WVU game and was apparently starring Brey down basically everytime Beachem missed a shot
Can't really blame him for being upset. I'd be pissed if a bum like Beachem played 30 min a game ahead of me with the way he played this year
Bama, OSU, and Clemson have all offered the Ademoila twins...that's quite impressive and they are flying back to ND for the BG game
update on Pagano by Loy. Anyone got the deets? Seems like another big weeks of visits for spring ball. Booker on Friday (seems like one of the top DE's on board) and Chase Williams today. TE from Florida Tackas also supposed to visit this week sometime. Busy week.
I'd agree, problem is if Beachem was off from 3 he at least was ok defensively, etc. I like Ryan but Brey was never beholden to VJ. I honestly think Ryan was just kind of a bum aside from shooting.
Beachem was a one way player, too. Brey would always say his length helped disrupt passing lanes but I can't honestly say I remember him ever stepping into one and getting a hand on the ball
He actually did it pretty often. I've been poolside sipping a couple beers so exact reference eludes me, but, even this past year he disrupted some things, not always to direct point, but he did mess up sets when he cared. Iirc his knocked a pass that resulted in Vasturia's career dunk. Edit: I'm wrong VJ had it stolen and then Steve took it back. lol. point stands though.
That said, I can think of a few times vj disrupted things on defense using his length. The problem is I can think of a few specific examples, which probably means he didn't do it often enough. Here rebound when he wanted to try. He did some good things, but I too was frustrated when he'd be kept in when he clearly was having an off night. I didn't like Ryan's attitude though. I get being frustrated, but he also sucked for a lot of the season when he got his chance. And then to be pretty public about his displeasure, it just rubbed me the wing way. Wish he would have stuck it out bc I thought he was in for a good session next year. But oh well. Onto the next
I really wonder where Ryan will end up if he thinks he has a better opportunity to play high level ball then ND his junior and senior years. As others have eluded to, the guy is a 40% 3-Pt shooter that can't do much else. That's a fringe/rotation player at most elite schools unless/until he gets a commitment to bettering himself on defense and rebounding.
Fuck I forgot all about P.tM's new single AND good tunes Thursday. Thank you for reminding me about both.
To me someone who disrupts passing lanes is someone who is known for it and is routinely getting deflections/steals. To me that is not VJ and the amount of deflections/steals he did create did not outweigh his flat out atrocious at times offense But I digress and will let this die
I'm still waiting for the ND QB that doesn't throw it 5 yards out of the end zone. Who was the last one to throw a nice fade? Quinn? Clausen?
No, Notre Dame didn't stop recruiting the No. 1 OLB in America. Wiltfong talked to him yesterday at his school and now Steve and Loy are both saying they think ND right now.
Any prospect that does not come to ND was passed on. Shame that Gant does not have what it takes to succeed at ND.
Haven't heard much about Dallas in a long time and ND offered some other LBs figured they moved on I think ND only has 1 more spot for LB this cycle
