Should finish leveling my alt this week. Cant wait to see the disappointing results. Once i place in slightly higher gold i'm going to turn it into a sombra only account.
one win away from getting back to diamond and i get a guy who goes torb on defense and never builds a turret and then picks sombra on offense and doesnt ever kill the enemy hanzo and widow. people need to get banned for that shit.
Sometimes I wonder what stuff I'm doing as a relative noob that is pissing off more experience players. But playing as Torb and never building a turret seems incomprehensible. Now that I've figured out what my best characters are and what maps work best with what characters, I'm trying to learn more about team comp and effective counters.
He was doing it on purpose to make us Los and I have no idea why. We had a good team comp and nobody said anything
I love how people are so quick to switch to throw heroes at the first sign of anyone outside of the meta. Maybe I actually know what I'm doing with sombra? I will switch at some point if it looks like people aren't working around what sombra can do but I'm confident she is the right pick because this gold, they have a sym, and no healer? Jfc just let me play who I want without throwing. I don't like losing and will switch to prevent it but if I can win while playing fun heroes I prefer to do that. See a sombra? Fuck it, maybe they know what they doing (they never do tho, most sombra don't even touch health packs)
Plat/low diamond is such a shit rank. Gets hard to carry, so you have to rely on team comp/team more. I tried making a smurf for gold by playing placements as widow and hanzo, but ended up at diamond anyway :(
Game gives me herpes But it's like a pleasant herpes where the sores are made of velvet Until they bust with puss filled, fiery rage that causes my neck to twitch Fun af tho
yeah man it's not like overwatch has had massive matchmaking and rating problems since launch that they still havent fixed. fuck yourself.
I dont know what youre talking about. Every match ive ever been in was nothing but highly skilled individuals playing meta heroes with lots of teamwork.
Just played a placement match on Dorado where every other player went DPS. We didn't make it to the first checkpoint.
i have absolutely fucking steam rolled my first 3 placements on ivegotgolddamage. horrible comps and everything.
placed about 500 sr higher than i did on my main account. won the first match and gained 80 sr. if you'll remember earlier on in overwatch i would get kicked for inactivity constantly. i always had the leaver experience penalty, always. i've heard rumors that if you quit often enough you get relegated to a section of matchmaking that is just totally unpleasant and my experience so far on the alt definitely supports that.
I'm sitting just over 2900 right now, and need to try and get up above diamond tonight, so I can say I've hit it in all 3 seasons.
Its not truly in until they build a mode specific map and put it in qp/comp but they definitely could have done that.
So I did a cool thing with McCree a while back that I felt good about and since I can't sleep I decided to upload it to youtube. Maybe I'll do more; if I can remember to upload the clips to my Onedrive.
"hey guys don't defend up there" - me "nah, i've got this. I'm on my smurf" - our solo healing zen defending at the attacker spawn of anubis point 1 can you guys guess what happened next?
he died...immediately which didn't really seem relevant because i had my teleporter in 20 seconds so he was able to instantly be back. but the enemy team was able to slaughter everyone else except for a mei while i went to set up the teleporter. mei held the point for half a second before walling off the back stairwell by the point, thus blocking our entire team from getting there after they walked through the teleporter. gonna make a new smurf called 2healsorihanzo i guess
i think i've finally figured out a control scheme that makes sense for mercy so i can finally start playing her
I wish you could vote people off heroes. We just had a Hanzo and Widowmaker on Hanamura for the entire game. The hanzo was decent but the Widowmaker was shit. Switch your fucking hero.
i've decided i'm going to be a piece of shit for now on. great team comp on nepal. get the first point to 99% before losing it because they popped all of their ults. our other healer switched to soldier for "more dps" so i switched to hanzo for "more dps". i'm not doing this solo heal bullshit anymore.
Fuck that. Dude destroyed a good team comp because of ignorance and wouldn't switch back. I'll play healer all day long and be really happy with it, but I'm not going to solo heal. One other person on a healer isn't too much to ask for. I told them I would switch back if someone else wanted to heal and no one would. This was at 99 - 0 in round 1. We could have easily won the match. Good team comps get wiped when the other team uses 6 ults. Pretty much always. The other healer had his ult and that's all we needed to end the round. But he switched because ?????????????? I'm just tired of ignorance.
I also enjoy playing Rein and watching the rest of my team just scatter around me and die rather than use my shield.
I'm on a 6 game competitive win streak with Orisa. People don't know how to handle her in gold bracket. She's my ticket out of this cesspool.
