Watched for 2nd time, this time in 3D. I cared less about the parts I didn't like, they just went by this time. Didn't notice Baby Groots face the first showing when they jumped 700 times, I was so focused on Rocket. The music grew on me much better this time. Now only 5 more viewings to go.
Finally caught Antman yesterday. Some funny parts, but overall pretty meh and forgettable. At this point, Marvel has used the same formula for all of their intro movies that makes it so none of them really standout.
Enjoy them for what they are. Don't expect every film to be revolutionary and challenge your soul. Some of the films have been carbon-copies of other films but I'm a ok with that because we're getting so much awesome shit from this studio. When I first saw Spidey come alive on the big screen, I never dreamed we'd have this many superhero films to enjoy one day.
Pretty sure the bitch behind me started cutting fucking onions right behind me right at the death of Yondu.
So both Peter Park and Miles Morales are in Homecoming? Or we are assuming so since Glover is in the film?
Yeah, I believe they can cuss however much they want on cable as long as their advertisers sign off on it.
Finally got around to 3rd viewing. Got dusty at the end this time. Trying to stop myself from going today. Need to actually do some work.
I thought every "fuck" after the first during the season cost them like a million dollars or something, but I could be wrong.
Cable channels and satellite radio aren't governed by the FCC, so they can pretty much do what they want. But, they ultimately answer to the advertisers.
I believe a lot of shows are recording alternative tales based on restrictions, like TWD and Negan's lines.
So clearing out my DVR and finally watched Xmen Apocalypse, I thought it was pretty solid. Didn't a lot of people shit on this movie? Miles better than that piece of shit Suicide Squad, probably better than Batman vs Superman too (which I also thought was judged too harshly)
I very much enjoy the first 45 min or so of the movie, but just meh after. They neutered Apocalypse the character that final act. IMO, the Apocalypse arc should have been done over 2 movies.
Are they making one more XMen movie? If so, how are they going to fit it in around the current universe and timeline?
It's supposed to be the Dark Phoenix story again. Nobody knows for sure but guessing it takes place in the early 90s.
Kind of would make sense if they tied it in to Logan, and the Westchester incident had to do with stopping Phoenix.
Agree on the 2 movie arc, its tough to convey characters like him and basically his omnipotence from the comics. Will be interesting to see how they portray Thanos and even Darkseid on the DC end.
They're throwing him a bone and a bit of fan service since he did Miles' voice in the animated show and supposedly there was a live action one in the works a while back.
http://www.the-numbers.com/people/records/top-grossing-stars-in-all-roles Stan Lee is the highest grossing actor of all time.
I think it's the average of the movies he is in. So he doesn't make $200 mil but the average gross the movie makes is $200 mil.
I believe that the movies he is in make on average 200 million. Not that he specifically makes 200 million.
