A reenactment to the conry show "Degrassi" featuring a young Drake. Episode where Drake was shot. Also a peak at YP's "Jersday" attire.
my favorite Hank/PMT moment was last April/May when he asked if he would get in trouble for not filing his taxes. Close second was when he asked how traffic happens (believe that was the Death/Psychic episode last Summer)
Yea. It was a good show today. I laughed really hard at that and at the last 10 minutes or so of the show.
I began to read Barstool more closely about 18 months ago - right around when they were purchased - but that wasn't why I did. Do the long term readers have a sense that Barstool has changed, both over the short and long term? I enjoyed the Rundown far more when they were in their apartments/HQ/Dave's office than when are sitting together wearing the new line of tshirts with a neatly arranged stack of (Alcohol Sponsor name here)'s product sitting on the bar. The old videos of when they when would get together felt special as it meant at least one person was traveling across the country. Maybe it is just me, as I am sick of everything and anything getting slapped with a corporate logo or being told to buy this or that. I am not buying a Saturday's are for #DartySzn and brought to you by Captain Morgan infused Totino's pizza rolls.
Without all of that money they wouldn't have the means and recognition to do shit like the George Brett video, grit week, Comedy Central, etc. It's pretty easy to ignore the ad type shit. I have read for a few years and think it's as funny as its ever been. Sure most of the new hires are shit but you don't have to read or watch their content.
I get it, but it's a business. I am still able to enjoy the content while recognizing Barstool's need to grow the brand and take on sponsors. And it's not like they didn't have sponsors 18 months ago, they are just more prominent now because the programming is more prominent and attracts bigger sponsors.
i agree with you on the rundown stuff the skyped rundowns are much better than what they do now. i dont think they'll ever have a rundown as good as the one the day after the malcolm butler int super bowl one. that and the 6/12/18/24 challenge one are my favorites
It is tricky, as the the resources to grow and do more is exciting, you cant have your cake and eat it too. I liken it to when a team goes from an older arena to a new one. The old building that has been long overdue to be replaced, but the building is distinct and full of memories & nostalgia. The new home is far nicer, a much better fan experience, and brings in a ton more revenue to keep the team competitive. All things that we want to see as a fan, but Gate A/B/C are now Verizon, Dick's Sporting Goods, and Coca Cola.
I knew Big Cat from the Chicago connection, but I didn't start following Barstool as a whole closely until the 6/12/18/24 challenge. That got me hooked.
