just a little prediction time here: Sadulaev could struggle with Odikadze. He's going to try to make it a 1 score match.
The size difference between Sadulaev and Odikadze was drastic, but Sadulaev did some ridiculous shit.
He was pretty lethargic, Gadzhiev sat there and did nothing... and won. 65 somehow the most boring weight of the tournament
I haven't seen any of Tsabolov today... but everytime I look up it's 10-0. He's wrecked everyone Burroughs faded a bit in that match, break should do him some good. Still got enough to win this thing
It's on TV on The Olympic Channel. Look it up. 1 PM ET is when matches start, but Snyder/Sadulaev will be the 12th match.
daaaaaaamn Grigor Grigoryan took a nice bite out of Takatani after their match. Great sportsmanship! https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DIKKHnFXoAExoOf.jpg
Team Race Status-- I believe this is where we stand now. If Gogaev loses his bronze medal match, one of Burroughs/Snyder has to win. If Gogaev wins his bronze medal match, USA must win any 2 out of 3 medal matches.
I do not have the channel and because of that, even though I can see that NBC Sports App has it, I can't watch it on there. Tom Ryan says he will use Instagram Live for the match though. Would like to watch JB also
Demirtas is so good, it's scary to think that Tsabolov worked him so badly. Even HYC didn't do that to Demirtas. Has me thinking my Burroughs Silver prediction was a good one.
Burroughs vs Tsabolov is already amazing, 4-4 at the break after a challenge upheld to deny Jordan 2 more
What a performance... take all that talk of being done and shove up everybody's ass. That was a great match and Tsabolov was every bit a tough match
Man, that was an amazing match. What a pleasure to watch. 5 world level golds for JB. Watch out John Smith.
I'm so happy for JB. Watching him in Brazil and watching his interview when he was eliminated was tough
I had to watch it on delay so I'm just catching up but FUCK YES JB!! That was an amazingly fun match and he really looked like himself again. Love it.
While the medalists at 74kg were taking their official picture together, they all held up their medals and smiled at the camera, except for Tsabolov, who stared right at JB--almost as if saying "we're not done yet". Every time he sees that picture will be a reminder. Love it from the Russian.
Fujinami is a stud! He's been winning age level medals every year for a while it seems like. Took JR bronze in 2016, JR silver in 2015, cadet silver in 2013 against Pico. Now SR world bronze.
Fujinami was super impressive in this tournament, looks like a guy that might win a gold or two at some point if he stays with it(might just be me, but it doesn't seem like Japanese wrestlers stay active as long as some of the others)
Seeing a little Japanese guy run around waving the flag of the rising sun while the arena blares "Highway to Hell" made my day
Frank Chamizo's coach is named Gaydar Gaydarov. Imagine having the surname "Gaydarov" and settling on the name "Gaydar" for your child. What does that conversation look like?
