The word is he and Goretzka have already agreed to terms. Adamantly denied by all parties, of course.
Watching the England match on ESPNDeportes they mentioned that Sterling was born in Jamaica, I had no idea. This then led to a quick Wiki search which revealed that his middle name is Shaquille
Looking like Algeria and Ghana will both miss the world cup after both being in the last two (and Ghana at least the last 3).
do not envy low going into selecting his starting xi For me it looks like some of the 2014 winners need to be benched for the youths to me
Brandt was by far the worst player on the field vs the Czechs and Werner struggled besides the goal(did have terrible service), old guard don't seem like the issue to me and could really use Boateng back.
It's sad to say because he's so emblematic of the revolution, but I greatly prefer the German 433 without ozil or with him shunted to the left to a 4231 with him in center. It's a much more balanced side and puts the onus on kroos in possession which is for the greater good because he's the best cm in the world. Kroos with possession in the center of the park, goretzka a bombimg forward box to box, and either a second bomber (khedira), or a back four protector (Rudy) with them. Hector and kimmich can both provide service and defend well from the flanks so then you complete the side with scorers and speed up top. Drax, timo, and then figure out of its gonna be sane, Brandt, or god forbid Reus. Muller can still work since he's a fantastic second striker when on and kimmich covers that flank, but I'm starting to have doubts if he'll ever recover form with limited chances at Bayern. And ozil is the true tragedy. Shunted left and he gets in the way of hector, which means he'll drift inwards and get in the way of Kroos and goretzka. It's a fascinating puzzle. Hopefully they figure it out and Germany get to play the new Spain and exorcize those demons.
So France on 17 (+10), Sweden on 16 (+11) and Netherlands on 13 (+5) with 2 to go. France: Bulgaria (A), Belarus (H) Sweden: Luxembourg (H), Netherlands (A) Netherlands: Belarus (A), Sweden (H)
Boateng is 1 of maybe 2-3 CBs in the world that can create chances with 1 great long ball. Sule looks to be a heck of a defender but Loew went with Ginter over him, Germany doesn't have enough margin of error to be missing him. Kinda agree with cas/weedlord but Germany did play great in euros last year. They dominated France but Muller was horrendous, Bastian was washed up and had the dumbest mistake of his career, and had no striker. Not sure Ozil has those level of performances in him at this time though, needs to quit being a bitch.
I dont like saying this, but Christian Eriksen is really good at this game. Finally stepping up for Denmark.
