oh hell yeah, epic climb #2 in the books. 4:11 moving time. About 3 hrs up and 1:11 down. Maintained 220 Watts on the 3 hour out, dropped signicicantly on the 5000’ descent. If you guys are ever out on the coast nw of L.A., you have to hit up The Mob Shop in Ojai. Unreal service. Was only $190 for a private guide including the bike rental. They will work with you on routes to if you are not in the mood for a stupid 3 hr continuous climb as well. Now back to stupid flat Dallas...
Super stiff and light, but the most important thing is most comfortable. Try on several in your price range (which should put them with relatively similar weight and stiffness) from different manufacturers and go with the ones that feel the best.
Looks like Lance Armstrong will be in Ft Worth on Sunday for the 2 year celebration of Mellow Johnnys Trailhead. Think I found my 52 mile ride for Sunday!
Ok. Finished just under 6 minutes back of Lance or 1mph of his pace exactly. Pretty disappointed in myself as I got caught at the wrong end of the big split of the day. It was on a left hand turn off a highway and onto a county road and not knowing the course I was shocked when I made it and there was a huge descent and lead group (which I was a part of 30 seconds prior) was gone. Buried myself for 15 miles solo trying to cross the gap and finally 4 other riders that were spit out the lead group hitched onto me and we started working together. Damage already done though. Awesome ride that I will not soon forget.
Drew63 they may feel a little tight at first, they break in very nice. The reason I sold those is so I can actually bump down a size
Have that and love it. Buy the biggest fan possible, you gonna need it when you do the mountain routes.
this is a few months old, but idk, new to me. Pablo Escobar's bike. https://glorycycles.com/blog/pablo-escobars-bike/
Do any of you use Rouvy, Kinomap, Bkool, or Tacx training? Was looking at Zwift, but I'd like to ride real routes and all those seem to have them.
When I was doing structured training - trainer road. But for casual/fun- swift was awesome in beta. Can't imagine it now. Looks impressive.
Bought the Kickr Snap yesterday. Looking for proper shoes (making sure they're white as instructed in here) and pedals now and then all I'll lack is a computer.

It got delivered today. My laptop has Bluetooth and can pickup the trainer, but none of Rouvy, Zwift, or Bkool can find it. Pretty enraging. Also bought these today:
Got them in yesterday. They fit well and look clean, if not a bit bulkier than I imagined. Also my ant+ usb got delivered today and it has my laptop apps working so I can finally ride on the big screen. Finally, have some Look pedals on the way but the shipper was lazy getting them out so probably not arriving today, hopefully tomorrow though.
It felt really good to take the month of November off from the bike, I needed it. It feels even better to be back on the bike though, even if it is trainer rides.
And it looks like it is time to finally get some wheels. I have a $250 dividend gift card from my bike club membership, an additional $50 gift card from the bike store and the bike store is giving a $400 trade in on a set of wheels I am bringing in towards a pair of wheels $2000+. What do I get?
