Thinking of taking the plunge tomorrow after seeing the financing available now. Getting married in 4 months and want to lose 30 lbs. How long did it take to get delivered for you guys?
Depends on the city having local delivery and installation versus having it shipped. New York is within a day or two. If I can fucking find it I’ll give you my referral code so we both get free stuff
Wilpers and Dennis are kicking off a 6 week power zone challenge on Jan first. I’ll be taking part if anyone wants to join. Should be tough
Yeah did the financing. Way more than I'd normally consider for 3+ years but the positive I see is getting a premium unlimited gym membership for myself and fiancee for around $100/month. If we did orangetheory or a unlimited spin membership for the both of us, I'd be well over $200/mo. Plus the resale on the Peloton is pretty crazy if I ever wanted to get rid of it. Tax + delivery puts it at around $2500 and seeing online you can easily sell it for $1600.
I hear you. We have really considered it. My wife and I pay $90 a month for 15 classes per month at our spin studio and usually only end up going 13 or 14 of those. It’d be about a wash with the financing, but I just can’t do it.
I've cycled in the past so I know I enjoy the work out. If they were horrible on resale I wouldn't have done it. When you add in the convenience of having it in your house + being way cheaper than the premium gym memberships around me, it made sense.
I have a road bike but never use it because of the area I live in has the worst drivers in America. Scared to death of getting hit by a blind 90 year old.
I went to spin class today after taking about a week and a half off and eating every carb-laced treat I could find for the last three days. I wanted to fucking die.
Bike was delivered today. Did a 30 min scenic ride. Helped me with my hangover. Doing a beginners class at 1130 tomorrow. Are the classes EST or do they go by your location?
This post could not have been more wrong if I tried. I’ve had it since the 27th of last month have done 10 workouts and they’ve all been great. The “class” aspect keeps me motivated unlike indoor cardio at the gym. My wife and my two oldest are also using it so the class cost is broken down by 4 so it makes it better. Not to mention I am in love with Emma Lovewell.
Got mine on Thursday. Done a workout every day since receiving it. Absolutely fucking love it. Doing 30 minute advanced beginner classes so far and getting stronger each time I do it. So happy with the purchase.
I tried, it didn't take very well Spoiler when I don't ride much I drink mucho beer and eat mucho bad food
Just requested to join the Strava group. Need to figure out how to connect it to my peloton account tomorrow.
Glad more and more people are joining - as Ive mentioned before, I really enjoy the power zone training and the heart rate training with Steven Little.
I’ll probab try out some different stuff in a week. Out of shape so sticking with the beginner classes though they are getting easier each time.
This excites me greatly. More people to motivate me to ride. As a wise man once said, “if you ain’t 1st, you’re last.” Awesome to see this many miles being logged indoors in January.
Not to brag but I did two rides to day. 18 miles in an hour not blazing fast but not bad. Over 600 calories on those rides.
I feel like I have a pretty good handle on you and I am pretty sure it was a brag. How you managed to get a brag in without mentioning either ivy or ocean has me baffled though.
If you did 3 live class in a row, I believe there is an achievement that unlocks and you get a shiny pixel badge..
I am buying the Amazon bike tomorrow to use like suggested in this thread. I used gift cards from my credit card rewards so it’s basically free. I can’t wait.
Gonna try out some spin classes for a month or so to see if I like it, then figure out if I wanna make the investment for one of these or get the Amazon bike & rig up an iPad. There’s a Peloton showroom at NorthPark Mall in Dallas, I need to get over there & check it out.
