Moss was a big get. He'll be good in Frank's system. Hope Felder can come back. The 1 and done has changed the way college basketball is played and recruited. Transfers and availability of players especially from smaller schools will continue to be a big part unless they change the rules again. Frank Booker is a good example. He worked out well for us. I don't like the current system but I think Frank is adjusting to make us competitive.
I like Moss too and I think he and Felder could complement each other well on the court together as combo guards.
Silva declaring for the draft. Not hiring an agent. I think he definitely needs another year but NBA drafts all on potential and he’s got a shit load of that so what the hell do I know.
I don't see him getting drafted. His offensive game doesn't translate to the NBA at all and he's a little bit shorter than what they really like in a primarily shot-blocking type big. And while we know he's still raw and has a lot of upside there are teams that will ding him for being a 22 year old (by the start of next season) 3-year college player.
I'm worried he'll still do something dumb to compromise his eligibility and we'll never see him again anyway
When they first reported he was doing this a month ago I think they said his intention was to just see what the scouts thought he needed to work on the most to be a better prospect next year and then go back to school. We'll see. I'm not all that worried about it.
Has SCE&G gone up a shit ton? What I paid last year: Feb $67 Mar $61 Apr $54 What I paid this year: Feb $95 Mar $89 Apr $89 That seems pretty significant.
Our recruiting is abysmal right now. We got lucky that Thornwell and Dozier fell in our laps. Our men’s sports programs as a whole are in shambles right now.
I just realized I used to work with Christian Brown’s (the b-ball recruit from Lower Richland) Mom. Like 5-6 years ago she would show me videos of him just dominating short white kids. They were hilarious. Didn’t realize he would end up a top 20 overall recruit. She and her son were big Carolina fans then because her brother was the first Mike Davis.
Who doesn’t like a bloomin onion? The turnover in men’s bball is crazy high. Some of it is 17-21 year old mistakes but some of it is on Frank. If he can find a way to reduce the turnover rate and keep guys in the program for 3-4 years then we’ll be consistently good. If not we will be using duct tape every off season to try and make the tournament.
Is now a good time to remind you that 9 wins and an NYD bowl win is better than like 80% of Clemson's football history?
Does me being college educated somehow refute my original statement? Because your last post didn't. hth
You said we average 9 wins in history. We're at 50%+ in the last 30. Can't count the full history since the data would be skewed (in our favor no less) since there were only ~10 games played as well as the fact that thru 1980 or so, we didn't play an 11 game season. An 8 win season in an 11 game season is roughly the same as a 9 win season. Congrats on 6 nine-day seasons in 130 years though. Hahahahahaha
"Marcus was saying that with the connections that he has and the life after football, if I go there, I can have any job that I want after graduating," Wannamaker told Phil Kornblut after announcing his decision. Here's the problem. The bag man is supposed to make the drop before college, not after.
No, SCAR and Marcus Lattimore. Do you guys really think people are impressed by this guy that never finished a season, never played in the NFL, and hasn’t touched a football in 5 years?
If there's one thing that people take away from Lattimore, it's definitely that he's sleazy and unimpressive.
Promising recruits they will be taken care of after football with all of his connections? Kind of sleazy. Also, not very impressed with him. Never finished a season because the gamecocks rode him in to the ground, but to their credit, they have certainly taken care of him. What is his position again? ALE... you’re ALE.
He definitely finished the first season and his second season he got hurt trying to make a block down field. Are you really that dumb? It's not like Jacoby Ford, who seemed to leave every game with an injury. Dabo really treated him well.
I could see someone taking Cain over the next two rounds. I also would be pretty pumped if Dallas took Dorian O'Daniel on Day 3.
Knocked out by undersized ACC Corner > knee injury > knee injury right? Don’t even know what you’re talking about with Jacoby Ford and Dabo Haha no.
