I would like to bet on the world cup. I know a little about soccer but not much. What do you think about picking Belgium and Brazil as my winners and Muller as my prop bet to win the golden boot?
Do it. I'd guess the odds would take Martinez into account somewhat. They have the talent to win it if they get a favourable road to the finals imo.
France and Spain getting 3rd best odds, but just as good shot at #1 as Brazil/Germany. Seems like youre burning $ anything outside those teams and maybe Argentina. Uruguay/Croatia could make runs to Semis. But both would need to win their Groups likely to do so. Belgium has loads of talent, but betting on them with what we've seen from Martinez seems futile. Team chemistry seems to be lacking. And they left one of their best players at home. Knockout Draw could look something like this: If Belgium wins their Group theyre likely looking at Brazil in Quarters. If they finish 2nd, Colombia in R16 with Alemania in Quarters. Essentially your Draw.
Group D and H are my toughest to call. Think I have it D - Argentina, Croatia, Nigeria, Iceland H - Poland, Senegal, Columbia, Japan
It's a moot point all around, Brazil mows down whoever takes second in the group of course.Toughest possible road to any medal for South Korea (hellish group, Brazil>Belgium>France).
Well it's not going to be Mexico. Sweden gets second game Germany and might get a draw. Mexico is going to be ass fucked on Father's day.
Not a bad shout but usually a more out and out poacher wins these in the big tournaments. Could also see Lukaku, Ronaldo. Kane or Suarez if their sides could conjure a deep run
Head says Brazil, heart wants Germany. Hate these times, I've typically taken off work to watch the WC but can't do it this year. Why can't I just be a trust fund baby getting drunk/high 24/7 and watching sports.
Tempted to take off Friday for Spain/Portugal So excited for this to start and will enjoy being off for knockouts but that feels so far away.
Am I over thinking it or is Columbia over valued based on what they did in 2014? I’m leaning Poland and Senegal going through
I respect every conmebol team even if they do shady shit at times. Anyone who watched that qualifying knew how exciting and intense it was, I didn't have a team to root for but it was way more intense than the premier league. I suggest every person watches conmebol qualifying over European, it was sports porn.
Doing the Ancestry thing in a way for rooting interests in each Group. Not that I care that much I just want great soccer to watch. But since I did the Ancestry test earlier this year what the fuck. Group A- Russia and Saudi Arabia Group B- Morocco and Spain Group C- Denmark Group D- No trace of anything at any nation Group E- Switzerland Group F- Sweden Group G- England Group H- Poland
Everyone looks at the France attack, the only chance they have is if an Umtiti/Varane backline is the best of the tourney. Spain sucks off Xavi and Iniesta but for me, Puyol/Ramos/Pique were every bit as meaningful.
