I absolutely love the guy at the beginning who talks about Pokémon Go and he looks like a neck beard pedophile
Just beat Misty and the Nugget Bridge and was about to walk into Bill’s house before I had to leave. Coolest thing that has happened so far is a Chansey spawned for me in Mt. Moon and I snagged it
If I was never in to pokemon, should I just keep living my life and not worry about it? Or is the new game worth it?
Yep. I was stoked. Apparently they’re super rare unless you drop some lures or run up a high combo, and then they’re still pretty rare. Same with Bulbasaur in Viridian Forest and a few others other places
I’ve only played one Pokémon game about twenty years ago and I can’t even remember which one...the one I played was really fun but I never kept up with it or got into it...this game is pretty fun imo
So I jump down the middle hills to the daycare on route 5. Come out of daycare and I see a Chansey up on the first ledge of the hill. I run up and back down and it’s gone. :( Found a badass Growlithe tho
not sure there’s many things on earth more disappointing than a pokemon running away when you have a high combo thus ending your streak
Maybe they aren't as rare as I was lead to believe. I've seen 3, caught 2 and had 1 run. Forgot to save before I was given a Bulbasaur so I got a Lax one. I reset the game until I got a Timid Charmander and a Modest Squirtle. I also have an Adamant Growlithe that I think I'm going to switch out the Charmander for and then move out the Squirtle for either Gyarados or Lapras. idk.
I haven't focused on the mood traits too much yet as I don't have that many great pokemon to choose between. What all does the mood type do?
Increase one stat by 10% while decreasing another by 10%. Timid: -10% attack + 10% speed Modest: -10% attack +10% Special Attack Adamant: -10% Special Attack + 10% Attack etc... You can beat the regular game pretty easily without worrying about it, but I pay attention to it. https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Nature
So am I supposed to be feeding the Pokémon candy? I really don’t have any idea what I’m doing. Do you catch all the Pokémon you see?
The rare candy will make the Pokemon you give it to increase a level. I'm saving mine until later. I've just been catching one of each kind I see so far. I just beat the third gym
A lot of the candy stuff is new, so uncharted territory, except for the rare candy which increases level. The new stuff increases a specific stat (attack, speed etc...) specific pokemon’s candy increases all of their stats. I don’t catch every one I see but I catch a lot for exp
If you have a Pokeball Plus, link it with your switch, it gives you a lvl 1 Mew with good IVs, it'll essentially be your best pokemon outside of your starter until you reach Go Park and can transfer over OP shit from Pokemon Go.
Finished S.S. Anne and Lt. Surge last night. Pikachu 28 Gloom 28 Pidgeotto 27 Charmeleon 25 Graveler 25 Mew 18 I need to evolve my Graveler, Anyone who wants to trade with me let me know.
I will forever now picture The Blackfish as someone who chases rare snakes in the wilderness, and throws balls at them.
The rare snake thing is user Owsley, I don’t know a poisonous snake from a stick on the ground. I do know my Pokémon though Spoiler pokemon
I think it’s better as well but docked feels pretty fun too and it’s outstanding to see this game on a big screen finally.
Arrived in Fuscha City Mew 41 Pikachu lvl 40 Charizard lvl 39 Vileplume 38 Snorlax 35 (transferred over a lvl 28 Dragonite from Pokemon Go) that's gonna be the team I ride with for the rest of the game prolly.
I’m shocked at how good some of the reactions are Also, you don’t need the paid service to play online
if you have a significant other who despises video games like mine, I suggest getting SnipClippers. She had a blast playing it with me. Thinking about getting 9 Parchments for another more nerdy co-op experience.
Did not enjoy the demo. Saw this when looking for a co-op side scroller and will probably get it down the line. I think this was my wife’s first real gaming experience other than Wii Sports. The progression since has been pretty good and I’m glad she enjoys gaming now. After SnipperClips, we did: Super Mega Innings Baseball (lol) LittleBigPlanet3 Rayman Legends (she’s almost 100% this mostly solo) Journey (solo) Unravel Unravel Two Now she’s working on the Trine trilogy and we play Tropical Freeze and Pokémon Let’s Go together.
that sucks. I really enjoyed the Trine series she has the hand eye coordination of a potato so there's no way should could get into something like Rayman's. She can barely control the SnipClipper character.
That was the case with mine. Then I introduced her to Portal 2 way too soon and saw she cannot control the sticks independently of each other. It’s bizarre to witness. I highly recommend Unravel in terms of the very few instances that you need to be coordinated to complete it. It’s mostly slow-paced platforming with some pretty easy puzzles. She really enjoys Mario Party and Metroidvania-style games now.
My wife kills me in mario party. Bonus stars at the end are rigged though hah. They should specify the bonus star goals before the game.
