week or so ago i stumbled onto a father and his kids building a house. his sons were struggling with it and a wall they had just put up toppled over. i stopped and we exchanged some brief dialogue and i went on my way. anyway, tonight i'm playing and come across the same structure (i think). old guy and his sons are in a shootout with some other guys (no clue who). stopped to help, but the father got shot and killed. sons took off no idea if this is a random event, but thought it was pretty cool
Found my first enemy gang camp Spent about five minutes riding around it in circles randomly lobbing dynamite and fire bottles until there were only a handful of enemies left Make one man feel like a hundred
So I never played the first one and was never a big GTA fan but I’m off work and laid up post surgery so I have ample time to kill. Black ops 4 and destiny are great but been on both those for awhile
Just looking for a new game is all and have zero experience with this one. I know it gets solid reviews
I tried the last fallout and just wasn’t a fan. Good game and all but just too much “grinding” for me. It was also my first fallout game ever. Wasn’t a bad game just not my style. And yes I know destiny is a grinding game but at least I can fly around shooting stuff
Honestly I’m out of memory so I have to delete a game whenever i get a new one now. Getting a ps4 pro with the terabyte memory for Black Friday but I have the original one with the smallest memory so it only holds like 4 games now.
Man I really wish this was out for Switch or PS5 becomes Switch-like. I've barely had time to play but I've been on a bunch of airplanes. That's how I finished Breath of the Wild. Having a game like this portable makes it much more worth it to kill time doing side stuff too. That was something I noticed having portable Zelda.
I got pickpocketed for the first time last night in St. Denis. Had fun running the guy down and hog tying him to steal my money back (and then some). Left him in the square outside the tailor just screaming to cut him loose while I went in and did some shopping.
I like to blow people's heads off with a sawed off. Don't even have to necessarily pickpocket me either just laugh at my bear hat one more time.
If the father lives, he'll ask you to help him finishing the house by stealing a lumber wagon. Or you give him a 100 bucks to buy lumber, and then he pays you 150 bucks back when he finally sells the house.
Do I ever get anything for the $20 I gave the lady in St. Denis to help build the church. I was feeling extra charitable at the time.
Arthur yelling “Bring out more freaks!” during the Van Horn/St. Dennis side-show quest...it’s the little things
I cracked and did the poison trail using YouTube and now I feel more guilt than I have murdering any number of people in game. Didn’t realize how much money it was going to be.
Most of those treasure maps seem impossible without using YouTube. I got the first two of the Jack Hall Gang by random luck. I’m not even close to finding any of the others.
Yeah she’s near horse shoe overlook. She was the first stranger quest I found. Haven’t found any dinosaur bones though.
Same here. Found her early, but haven’t found any bones. Thought I did, but it ended up being a cow or something lol.
Same, found her very quickly, have not seen any Dino bones. There is absolutely no fucking way I could have gotten the poison trail one without YouTube. I could have played the game for 10,000 hours and would never have found that place.
On another note. I’m off work the rest of the week for thanksgiving. The amount of hours I’m going to spend playing RDR2 is about to be sickening.
You could try to go after all the collectibles without YouTube, but that would involve roaming the entire map in eagle eye (where you can see them). Fuck that.
Honestly, I kept expecting to go through a digging tutorial/mission, to find dino bones - and also loot graves.
You should've gotten the tutorial mission in chapter 2 for dinosaur fossils. It's the one where you have to square off areas and run string across to create grids. It's when you get the red bandana and flat brush to clear off pieces to uncover fossils and can double tap right on the dpad to summon interns to do the work for you.
Game is good. Haven’t gotten too far because I always run up on a stranger or rob a house or just fuck off hunting and fishing or whatever. About 30% complete and still in the Valentine area although I have a quest for Micah that’s gonna take me to Strawberry. I was really worried that Arthur wasn’t gonna live up to what John Marston was but I couldn’t have been more wrong. He’s an absolutely phenomenal Character. He and Dutch so far are just all timers
