We had an associate pull a similar move. She told us the week before evaluations/bonuses, which I found to be an outstandingly classy move on her part. I would've held out until that bonus check was deposited.
Since you guys enjoyed that preview, here is one from Christmas a few years ago that I posted in the father-in-law thread. My mother-in-law is one of 7 kids (5 girls and 2 boys) and all the sisters know about the affair and a few of them won't be able to help themselves. A couple weeks ago the family got together for a second birthday party for one of the little cousins....another sister tried to whisper to my mother-in-law "are we talking to ____? I can't believe he is here" except she's loud and five or six people (including me) heard the exchange.

She did. Her reasoning was completely out of left field. But considering it happened the day before she probably could have taken a different stance in that moment

That's a tough one. Nothing worse than that type of stupid shit around the Holidays. As older bro you may have to step in Good luck with the kid, maybe the new little one will change everyone's feelings. When my oldest was born it brought everyone together. My Dad and little brother pretty much hated each other up to that point.
I'm going to my FIL for thanksgiving. His shit bird son will be there. He has been seeing a 39 year old. First relationship since my MiL passed 3 years ago. He has a daughter that is 40. This chick is complete white trash hot and obviously using him for money. She gets drunk every time she is with him. He dropped 300 at vickies on her, that credit alert came to the business so his daughter that runs the office got the alert. That's how everyone found out about this chick. He paid her phone bill that was 3 months passed. Worst part is she doesn't communicate with him until 1030 at night. Think she has a regular guy and she is just mooching off my FIL.
I feel like most old men in these situations know exactly what’s happening and accept the return on investment.
Update: My sister is still a bitch and has ruined our family thanksgiving for the last 3 years. I haven't spoken a word to her in over 2 years and my mom doesn't want to continue having thanksgiving without the whole family together. She blocked all of our phone numbers and on social media because I called her out on being a bitch to my family and the rest of my family sided with me. She's a pretty terrible person so it's not a big loss but it sucks for my mom who doesn't get to see two of her grand kids
Hey friend! My sister is back in town too! She hasn't seen my parents since last Christmas. It's just me, my parents, and her. Gets home last night around 8, casual conversation about how old our super-old cat is. Momma Nug -- I think the cat is almost 20 now----we got her when you were around 10, right [sister Nug]? Sister -- do you think I look fucking 30 years old?! **storms upstairs, doesn't come out of the room all night** (she's 29) Today, all family out to lunch/shopping/just wandering around in some nice weather. Plan was to all go get lunch, some drinks, be back around 4. Sister decides she wants to go for a run. We're 30 minutes away from home, all took one car. She demands we take her home so she can run. Everybody pretty much laughs at her, she pitches a fit, we leave her and go get lunch. She moseys into the restaurant like a 10 year old, sits at the end of the table and plays on her phone the entire time. Nothing terrible egregious, but she's been home for less than 24 hours and off to a great start. Tune in tomorrow!
She invited two of her friends with kids over, supposed to arrive at 6. She’s “notorious” for hour+ long showers, and generally just disappearing for a couple hours at a time to her room. Friends show up about 6:05, 6:10, she strolls down from her room at a cool 6:45. My parents and I just entertaining two of her friends and their <1 year old kids. Not awkward at all. But it’s all just expected. Oh, and she called my girlfriend, whom she has never met, a slut today based on a photo my mom showed her. She’s just a narcisstic, awful person.
Yeah I just read them again and jogged my memory. Your sister is clearly horrible and needs to have a wakeup call from the rest of your family, but as much as I disagree with my family members politically they haven't said anything as bad as your mom calling you a liberal pussy. Not sure why you want to associate with either of them, that's a gross lack of respect for a son. For me if shit gets heated this year then I will not have any problem pushing back.

My SIL is staying the night to run a marathon with my wife tomorrow morning. She is “have you seen this YouTube video?” girl and is currently playing some Adele parody from across the room on full blast which is drowning out the TV, conversation, and whatever prior respectability existed.
I taught my 2 year old niece(she'll be 3 in like 2 weeks) how to use a treadmill and elliptical this week, also took her swimming. I'm a great uncle. She's also got the ab roller down.
Just arrived for the rest of the week. My MIL won't quit asking me questions about smart thermostats My step FIL wanted to know why none of the halogen bulbs he bought won't work in the laundry room (the ballast is out). Sister in law is knocked up out of wedlock for the second time in 4 years and is bringing her new white trash baby daddy and his 2 rowdy kids. Everyone got tired of doing two thanksgivings so FIL and his new wife are coming over tomorrow for the first joint Thanksgiving, so things should be poppin around here.
