Meet Ruby. 8 week old Goldendoodle. She's a'ight...just needs to get through the not-sleep-through-the-night phase. Santa came early this year... edit: well nevermind. looks like the jankity photo hosting site I tried to use is dooky and I can't get tinypic to work. Look up a goldendoodle puppy. Ruby looks like that.
Happy Black Friday All, hope everyone and their pups got to chow down yesterday. I need to ask for your help today, for the second year I'm organizing the Pixel 5K Race, I decided to make it virtual this year so more people could participate but so far the signups are shit. So if y'all are able to, please consider signing up and I'll send you this awesome race medal. Race Fee is $20, I paid for the medals out of my pocket so every penny goes to helping the animals. We had some crazy vet bills this year so we need help to refill the coffers so we can keep doing what we do next year. TIA for anyone who can join in, here's the link to the race. https://runsignup.com/Race?raceId=51015
I’m running a 10k on the 15th can I use that one? If not I’ll use one of my other runs. I’ll sign up in the 5th. Hope more do. You do great work.
My yellow lab was jumping around all happy when I got home while I leashed up the other to go outside. Heard him yelp and he stopped jumping. Went outside and he seemed OK, then we get back inside and he's acting like he doesn't want to put weight on one of his back kegs. Walking short distances and laying down. Called the vet and made an appointment to bring him in tomorrow. Few minutes later I feed the. He got up and walked to his food just fine, stood up and ate. After he ate he went to take a nap so I felt up his back legs, he didn't growl or whine or anything when I moved his legs around or anything. He ran a little bit to play with the other dog. Not sure if he's walking 100% right, but with him it's hard to tell sometimes. Vet told me just to call and cancel in the morning if he seems OK. Guess I'll wait till morning to decide, don't want to skip out on the visit and have something actually be wrong. But he seemed OK for the most part.
My dog does this every know and then and used to freak me out. He is kinda big baby if things don't go his way or he gets scared. He was taken out while playing with my other dog and yelped and screammed and limped like he had broken his leg. When I went over to grab him he took off playing again.
Yeah. My other lab will get ice in her toes and act like she's dying, it's pathetic. Dog seems OK today do I'm going to skip out on the vet. Still a little wary because he never acts like anything is wrong even with bad ear infections. My first thought was he tore his acl or something, because he's a lab and was acting like he couldn't walk. Imagine that's probably not the case.
I'm doing tri heart plus and bravecto, trying to find one that does fleas and ticks too and that both my dogs can be on the same ones. One is 45 lbs and one is 60lbs.
Only difference is it includes fleas as well if you have a picky eater or a smart for their own good dog, then heartgard is just as good for heartworms because its more meaty and less like a pill.
Tri heart plus for heartworm. Seresto for flea/tick. One dog eats the pill no problem. The other dog gets angry when he sees it in his bowl. I have to smash it up into pieces and mix it in with peanut butter for him to eat it. He will be getting heartgard next re up.
I could never get the pugs to take Trifexis & they ate everything... vet said that was pretty common. Switched back to Heartguard & just treat fleas immediately with Confortis for the rare occurrence.
Best boi (avatar) threw it up every time I tried to give it to him. After food, coated in peanut butter, whatever... didn’t matter, made him puke every time.
Ours don't love the pill so we have to force it, but the stuff is fantastic. Maybe every fourth or fifth month one of them will get sick from it but its no big deal if you give it with plenty of food.
Sorry I don’t check this thread often and searching CBD gets more human than dog hits: Anyone use CBD for dogs with hip problems? The dog is almost 11 and we’ve been packing/moving for a couple of weeks and he’s been running up and down our stairs to inspect our work. I figure he’s just worn out, but now that we’re in our new location he’s slow getting up.
My husky is 3 years old, and in the past month or so hes had like 8-10 episodes where he starts shaking. He gets really clingy and wants to be by me, and will bury his head under my arm, he is rapidly shaking and sometimes he will start panting. They last between 1 to 10 minutes, usually in the 3 or so minute range before it finally stops. He is conscious the whole time and isnt foaming, drooling, biting his tongue or a lot of other symptoms I saw when I looked up dog seizures. Anyone experience anything similar or.have any idea what could cause this? He had blood work done just a week ago for something unrelated and nothing abnormal showed up in his bloodwork
