It’s really cool to see them doing as well as they are. They were the first band I ever interviewed back in my radio days and there were like 6 people at the show. The last time I saw them they opened for the National at red rocks
He hasn’t played with them since 2016. They sound the same. Every band from Brooklyn sounds like that so getting a replacement guitarist was a piece of cake
That shit went down that long ago? I was thinking it was after In Mind came out. If he wasn't on that album, then I'm glad he's gone because that was their best work imo.
iirc real estate’s statements after the allegations were more about damage control and not kicking him out of the band, as he was already gone
I only knew it was then because someone was giving someone else shit for putting them on their album of the year list in 2016.
If you look up the album of the year thread on the board, it's in there. I think Pepperoni was giving someone shit IIRC. Spoiler Speaking of which, where the fuck is your list Joe?
I know Matt is a shitty person but I really love Ducktails The Flower Lane St Catherine Daffy Duck in Hollywood All 3 of those albums get tons of play in my life
starting a new job, dad has cancer, other various things have been taking up a bulk of my time. Its on my to do list
I saw Real Estate once at Terminal 5 and just left. They were horrible. Sucked because I was pumped for that show.
I went to Terminal West once, can't remember who I was seeing but it was one of those rare times where I smoked weeds. Halfway through the show, it dawned on me that I was inside of a building, I'd definitely felt like I was outside the whole time. Weed kills, thank you for attending my TED talk.
Hole in the wall type. Capacity is under 500. Has a large deck. An "upscale" Asian restaurant just opened up with it.
You must be a hater of Stevie Nicks mixed with guitar ripping. What did your bitch ass think of Neko Case the other night? Harmony Hall is an awesome song.
So because I don't think the Jenny Lewis single is that great I don't like Stevie Nicks or guitar-driven music? That makes a ton of sense. Neko was bad-ass. Really, really tight band and she was just on point. The crowd was shitty but she wasn't.
That song is right up the alley for a person who enjoys Stevie nicks amd guitar shredding. Glad your bitch ass made it to the neko show. Figured you were gonna skip out on it.
so I missed this from a couple weeks ago. Sounds like White Reaper might have a new album this year OH YES
just downloaded new Jessica Pratt, Cass McCombs and HEALTH staying up late Saturday I guess edit, and still haven't listened to new Panda Bear
Weyes Blood's album to land sometime this spring. Co-produced by Foxygen's Jonathan Rado. New track below. Get your lazy, hazy 70s AM radio fix. Cornelius Suttree
song caught me off guard when it kicked in pipes and drum skills, I may be in love band called Brutus with a performance of their song called War, album out in March
