Binge Mode is really good and focuses 95% on the show, but they've all read the books multiple times and they bring in the 5% of book material for context without being all "WELL IN THE BOOKS".
Danny wouldn't care about the incest. She was raised with her brother scolding her for not being born sooner so that Rhaegar could have married her.
The Night King coming for Bran to erase humanity’s DVR isn’t exactly the reason for his actions I was hoping for. But I can still get behind it. Completely agree tho. If Bran is the DVR, Tyrion is now a Closed Captioning transcript. Bran already pulled a Dr. Strange and knows he must die for the good guys to win. And then laid out the steps that must happen after his death to Tyrion. I think the “what if we live” line was a little hint for them to look to what is the next step past Winterfell. But since only probably two of those people in that room will still be around for those steps, he just let them enjoy the moment.
I so want zombie Robb with Grey Winds head attached to his shoulders to make an appearance but alas the Frey's ruined everything by throwing him into the Trident
something will definitely come of the Tyrion, Bran discussion. Found it a little odd that Bran’s over there theoretically holding the knowledge of everything that’s ever happened and nobody has talked to him until now.
Yeah, classic use of Tyrion’s curiosity and it’ll pay off bigly somehow. Smells like a way to make up for his past mistakes after Bran gets waxed
I’m not sure they’re trying to suggest Bran is the “reason” for the NK’s actions. It seems like just another objective in the military strategy. If he wants to create an everlasting night in Westeros, he has to also eliminate the Weirwood Wikipedia, and this time (this appears to be cyclical) he happens to know where that will be because he’s marked him. The reason still is grounded in something we don’t know between the NK, children of the forest, first men, the spiral symbol, etc.
While she burned to death she also had greyscale on half her face just like that girl Guess it could go either way
Re: the window push Cat, Bran, Jaime, Cersei —are those the only people who know how that went down? Plus maybe Tyrion now.
Oh okay so there’s a solid chance Tyrion already knew and that’s not like some big reveal Bran was giving him.
Tyrion is prodding Jamie and Cersei in episode 2 of season 1 about how he hopes the boy is ok. Jamie says something about it being better to be dead. I think Tyrion knows at that point that Jamie and Cersei were involved somehow at the very least
I have always thought that after jeor mormont told Sam that he wants Jorah to take the black, that Jorah would end up as the 1000th lord commander of the nights watch. I find it weird though that we never see Sam relay that message to Jorah. I guess we will see. Things do seem to point to a heroic death for Jorah but it wouldn’t surprise me if he survives to the end either and takes the black to compete that arc.
This. Unless Stannis is a liar about searching high and low and sparing no expense to stop Shireen’s grayscale.
i don't see her character in the same way. She has always been a ruthless women looking to claim the throne. Along they way people have attempted to soften her so she doesn't follow the footsteps of her family. But when shit hits the fan she reverts back to who she is. Her entire story is a back and forth between who she is (a ruthless badass who gains power by taking it with Dragons and now a powerful army) vs being a political figure who will gain power by being loved by the masses. Her scene with Sansa is amazing... Its her attempting to take advice and be a leader of the people to tell her story. They bond over Jon. But in that convo she shares her truth and that is all she wants is the throne. And if it wasn't for her falling in love with Jon she would be in KL burning that motherfucker down. When being political doesn't work she reverts back to who she is and it seems like her and Sansa are going to have a come to Jesus moment. But they are interrupted because Theon arrives. And what is great about the next scene is Danny watches as Theon returns and is basically willing to sacrifice himself for Sansa in a way Danny only wishes the people would do for her but don't. Fast forward to the crypt and her reaction to the news from Jon is exactly how I would expect her to react. She wouldn't give a shit about the incest issue because her only goal in life is to sit on the throne and what once looked like a clear path has now been thrown a curve ball. Where Jon is probably thinking I'm just telling you the truth because I love you and I may die in a few hours and who gives a fuck who sits on the throne at this point. Her reaction is all about the throne. Because that's who she is at her core. She's driven to make those who did her family harm pay and sit on the throne.
I think this would be cool but I also think Jorah has to bite the dust so that we see Dany make some decisions on her own. He’s the only person she actually listens to
That episode was so good because it makes next week so much better than it already was going to be I cried during the knighting scene I stood up when Brienne defended Jaime in the beginning I laughed at every Tormund line I finally got to see Gillybae and Samwell is still the best
Wanting the Iron Throne at all cost doesn't make her strong, it makes her pissy child who throws a tantrum anytime literally anyone doesn't immediately bend to her will.
We all assume that at a minimum Jamie and Tyrion have to survive to end the arc with Cersei. I do think that Tyrion survives but he’s also unlikely to kill Cersei. I always felt it had to be Jamie. What if Jamie dies though and Arya kills Cersei using Jamie’s face? We don’t really know enough about the prophecy/how faceless men are viewed to rule that out for sure. Cersei was the first name on Aryas list right? I feel like that would be a badass scene, wrap up Cersei’s arc and also get Arya the biggest name on her list. Not sure the Frey’s are enough to justify her entire character arc to the faceless men.
Yes welcome to knowing the youngest child in a family who’s brother has been building this up for her her entire childhood
Just a couple of thoughts about the lead up to this upcoming war... 1) Why didn't jon and danny get on those dragons and start burning the wights as they march into winterfell? I get they said fire may not kill the White Walkers (or the NK) but they sure as fuck kill wights. 2) Jon's nod to Danny felt different. I'm not sure if that was "Devon get the tables errr Go get the dragons" or if they have a secret plan 3) Putting all those people in the crypts that can't fight seems like a disaster. Our hero's can be so fucking stupid at times... My guess is if Arya goes down its gonna be in the crypts fighting for those in the dark. A throwback to her time when she was blind. 4) With so many people predicting deaths to major characters i'm curious how they plan on making those scenes different. Only so many times a hero can just be outnumbered by the dead. Spoiler: kind of a spoiler beware I hope HBO was trolling with the after show cut scenes. Because those images look worse than some predictions in this thread for next weeks ep
When was she ever strong? She was pimped out by her brother, raped by Drago. Her battle has always been pissy child vs leader of people. Is she Cersi or Jon? That's the character.
Been texting with a couple friends. I think there's been plenty of foreshadowing that the crypts come in to play. What if the dead Stark king in the crypts are resurrected... but the magic of the crypts cause them to fight on behalf of the living? Imagine headless Ned and Lyanna in battle. What if Lyanna is the one who confirms Jon's parentage to Dany? Now I'm going to be pissed if this doesn't happen.
yeah she was raped by drago, but then that hot ass dothraki chick showed her how to ride dick, and then Danny used pussy power to take control of Drago and become the dominant person in that relationship. She's been a bad ass since then.
Well discussed theory in here re: the Night King's plans below but people have been spoiling it so I'll spoil it too. Spoiler I've noted that the intro is very intentional - the intro has shown the crypts, that's no coincidence. But it ha also showed the dragon skulls below King's Landing. If the Night King heads there... we could very easily be dealing with a handful of wight dragons.
Spoiler Would a wight dragon created from skeletons have the ability to generate the blue fire? I'm curious if the state of the creature has any impact on its powers.
