Hurt me back again Lil butt wink, let tension go in my back whilst in the hole and boom lower back tweeked. Did this same fucking shit two years ago. Was late, trying To rush Wednesday, and not focusing, which is pretty fucking stupid when squatting. I might toy with the idea of going to high bar squats to avoid this issue, plus it's supposed to be better for Oly Lifting anyways Fuck my diary
felt really good squatting this week. switched some days around in my program and felt fresher going into my squats. filmed myself after bombing on squats recently, i was setting up/walking out lazily, which led to me starting with the weight on my heels and my hips slightly broken. id even pop up from a squat and settle back to that crooked posture as i got my next breath. so, i have that to work on.
I hate squats, but is there a better lift when training and building strength. I usually do dumbbell squats. Just like them better and gets the arms burning some too. I’m new to weight lifting so I really don’t know
If I'm really trying to burn in a short period of time, I like to do 40-50 yard sprints and then incorporate something in between Sprint 25 air squats Sprint 25 push ups Sprint 24 lunges (12 each leg) Sprint 25 sit ups Sprint 24 reps squat, lunge, lunge (8 of each) Sprint 15 burpees Sprint 25 plank jacks Sprint 25 Squat jumps Sprint
The hernia type discomfort I had been having seems to have mostly dissipated. It really felt like it did before I had the surgery two years ago, so idk wtf that was all about. Now I feel it a little bit if I strain when I'm hinged at the hips even just a little. For example, doing barbell curls, I kind of feel it. I haven't even tried to deadlift in the past month, kind of scared to do it. I did some trap bar squats which were okay'ish, but not the most comfortable. I'd say it's like 10% discomfort at this point (it had been like 60%). This sucks.
I really love landmine everything. Landmine rows, landmine presses, landmine squats. I love all of them.
Rows are probably my favorite use of the landmine. The squats basically just take the place of something like goblet squats and destroy my quads.
i thought it was a kettlebell game of chicken with your balls. then i realized there was a stopper so it didn't slide down further.
Used a garagegymlab code today for a product. There was some problem on his end with the shipping info so had to talk to him on the phone and he asks me how I know garagegymlab and told him I talk to him sometimes on the internet. Bit of an awkward silence after that.
Inertia wave. Never been big into ropes but was itching to buy something new and pretty cheap so giving it a shot. Plus, I'll probably do it in my backyard and can do another thing to weird out my neighbors.
That thing is awesome. You’ll love it. So much harder than it looks. Takes some getting use to with form and endurance. Be sure to keep good tension on the ropes. If you let them slack, it’s harder to maintain a rhythm and it’s not as challenging.
Does anyone else find deadlifting with a belt extremelly awkward? I have an inzer lever belt and I’m wondering if it’s too heavy duty. When I get down into my stance it shifts a bit when I breathe out/in and makes it seem really hard to get everything tight. Not sure if it’s just all in my head tho
i am no expert, but if it’s shifting it may be too large. had a similar experience with my lever belt and moved the lever back. also i like mine low, the top just covers my belly button.
How do you wash knee sleeves. Had some ok ones that I put through washer every week and fine. Have a tiny hole in SBD ones after 1 wash
everything i am reading about pin squats says its an overload exercise and i should be working at or above my max. that sure isn’t the case for me atm. funny lift this thing is. *edit videos online have told me part of my problem. i was doing it like a leg press off the pins, i should be un-racking and using the pins to pause at bottom before going back up.
In the shower with me or just let them soak in soap & water or oxy clean Definitely not an overload exercise. They’re mainly used to teach tightness and positioning coming out of the hole.
the first thing i watched before i tried it was this candito video. i didn’t spend time to do a lot more research outside of it. lol
I can’t watch right this second, but looks like he’s setting the pins high. I was under the assumption you meant setting pins at depth. If they’re high like that then absolutely an overload tool
That's how they do squats in a lot of strongman competitions. Imagine it's so that they don't have to judge every rep for depth.
at first i had them at just above depth, but filmed myself and thought i needed it lower. so, i went to depth and didn’t change anything else. i’ll have deload next week to untrain what i just did some.
Feeling like a LA Fitness bro this week High Squatted the bar and now doing just Upper Body workouts. I might even curl in a power rack
I think I'm going to be out about a week with this back injury, so I feel your pain. Gonna suck. I might be able to do like a recumbent bike or something.
