Eh, they rolled a lot of people through while I was waiting. Different location but it took less that 10 minutes last weekend when I got one.
Drove past Popeyes down the road from my house on the way home from a kids birthday party with my son, considered stopping until I saw the line was wrapped around the building twice and out the parking lot.
Saw a car backing out of the drive through and my heart sunk. Sure enough sold out. Trying another location later, expecting similar results.
That looks like some nicely applied spicy mayo. Even. Ample. Glistening in its full glory. I can see why you had a wait.
I was gonna say, maybe I didn’t notice it on mine, but that looks like the gorgeous spicy mayo you get with sushi
I've just resigned myself to going when they open to avoid it all. The lines are still crazy by 11am and half the shit is gone according to them. Got a sandwich yesterday and they were out of fries 40 minutes after opening.
Not sure if it's been mentioned or not and may just be a Florida thing but I was told that any truck stop Popeyes in a TA will not carry the chicken sandwiches anymore. Said it was a saftey concern from TA, because too many people in the stores.
can i be the one to say that i think the sandwich is great but i’ll still go to chick fil a since i have one right down the street and the rewards are hard to beat the day i start inconveniencing myself for fast food is the day i’ll truly feel like a fat ass
I mean that's a fair take. Sometimes fast service and consistency are worth it. But when the hype dies down, I will 100% always go popeyes over cfa if i want a sandwich. Zero question.
The popeyes truck stop location is 2.2 miles from my house right by the interstate, the news today was devastting, yet also told me to eat better.
At that point I just don't need it, I door dash more than actually go to a restuarant. LUL lazy 'merican.
yep went with the 3 piece dark with mashed potatoes. I got 2 pieces of white and 1 dark with red beans and rice.
No shit. I've already been called ignorant while waiting in line because this Popeye's has a drive thru lane that empties back to where the drive thru starts. The car behind me pulled up too close to let the drive thru exit and I had maybe 6" to pull up.
Yea my first attempt had basically 1/20th of that portion in the center of the sandwich - someone made that one with love.
My Dad explained the size as a “4 exit sandwich” ? “If you were driving on a road trip it would take you at least 4 exits to eat the damn thing”
