Had the spicy and classic yesterday. Spicy was ok, then the classic made me realize the only difference was the spicy mayonnaise sauce. Would not go back. Chick-fil-A and Wendy’s will remain my go-to fast food options.
Pretty sure that’s the figure I saw quoted on Tues/Wed that just took into account the previous weekend. He’s an idiot.
To clarify - if I submitted that same desired amount of mentions, articles, social media posts as a basis for a PR/Marketing campaign analogous to what Popeye’s has generated organically with this chicken sandwich the quote would be over $100 million. That’s why indirect viral marketing is such a unicorn right now for several segments.

Just went to get one; my Popeyes which is never busy is 20 deep in the drive thru. Will have to make this adventure another day.
Was going to try this devil's chicken. But traffic was back down the off-ramp from the highway to get into the damn place. Edited to add that this is during a torrential down pour.
I’m pretty sure I saw an article on CNN about this the other day, I blame them. This was supposed to be a TMB secret.
Waited 1 hour 4 minutes yesterday. It was worth it and it’s way better than any other fast food chicken sandwich.
That was definitely the least busy Chick-fil-A has ever been at dinnertime on a weekend. I asked the kid taking orders at the drive thru (where there were literally no cars in line) why it was so slow and he said “Probably the other chicken sandwich for now...we’ll be back though”.
Popeye's worker said the warehouse was out of chicken sandwiches and she didn't know when their location would get more
one of my locals isn’t going to have it for awhile either so for lunch today I just ordered some spicy tenders didn’t get the blackened ranch I asked for, but did get a bunch of honey packets and two extra biscuits all in all a classic Popeyes experience
Went to two different Popeyes out in the suburbs today. First was sold out of chicken sandwiches. At the second the inside was closed and the drive thru line was wrapped around the building twice
Them running out of chicken has to be by design to create a buzz or just terrible management. They use some of the same suppliers that I’ve used - (Columbia, Premier). If they needed 50,000 filets they could have them the next morning - they just aren’t ordering enough to meet demand.
