Yeah, to his lawyer. His 'accuser' filed a civil suit that was recently dismissed and according to the papers was dismissed without a settlement. Why?...well, -cell phone of the accuser has 'mysteriously' gone missing. Police detective testified he released it to the family. Family said it doesn't have it. Hmmm -mother of accuser admitted in court yesterday to deleting videos of her son in college (smoking weed and other 'frat things' she says) but not deleting anything related to the alleged assault....right -mother learned for the first time in open court yesterday that her son was caught underage drinking in college...hilarious she didn't know -when asked if he deleted any videos on his phone related to the case, the accuser didn't answer and when pressed that admitting he did was a felony....prosecution requested a recess and the accuser took the stand again and invoked 5th amendment -accuser's father was damn near held in contempt by the judge And this wasn't even the trial...doubtful this ever gets to trial, likely will be dismissed since the accuser's testimony can't be used after invoking the 5th
the man is a despicable human being, but I have to give him credit for embracing his villainy like this. He either doesn't care about his PR anymore or delusionally thinks he can just wink and nudge his way back into acting.
I wouldn't be so shocked if it works. Historically, Hollywood has been pretty lenient and forgiving towards people who sexually abuse minors (or adults for that matter).
I didnt know about this accuser. What was this one about? I only remember about the kid in a bar that was snapchatting his gf or whatever. He also got up in on a Prince?
Hollywood has spent 40 years idolizing Roman Polanksi, who raped a 13 year old girl among other things. The winds of public opinion are changing, but I cant say I am terribly convinced that decades worth of this shit being wink-winked at by the elite circles is going to go away any time soon. Mostly it seems like people putting on a persona because they're getting called out about it. But I am a cynical asshole so I could be wrong.
A good friend of my used to bartend our in LA like 10+ years ago. Only famous person he ever met was Kevin Spacey. Said he was super arrogant and definitely into young dudes.
This little Underwood schtick needs to go away. The accent is fucking bad. Nobody in Gaffney (where the character grew up) sounds anything like that. It’s closer to an amped up caricature of what the rest of the state would sound like when purposely trying to make a Charleston accent sound more cartoonish. He had no qualms in making the rest of the English speaking world think we’re all Machiavellian Fog Horn Leg Horns. For the good of the planet, shouldn’t we go ahead and lock him up before he decides to bring back his character in Se7en for his next video?
I think that’s the point He is insecure and doesn’t want anyone to know he’s Gaffney trash so he’s laying on a low country accent thick to try to trick people into thinking he’s Charleston money
There is so much money involved that people are willing to look the other way This is a big thing in top 40 music also, allegedly
