I guess I don’t get this much disdain for uga fans in my real life. We haven’t won a title since 1980, and most our fans realize this. Assumed it was a message board thing.
It’s just annoying as a uga fan that we can’t have legitimate conversations on here without an immediate rivals level flame war. I know euro and shakedown are probably mostly to blame. It’s just dumb.
And most UF fans recognize that Mullen’s recruiting needs to greatly improve...but the OP of this thread stated very clearly, “with equal talent”...and UGA fans are still pissing and moaning when an overwhelming majority of the board holds the same opinion, regardless of fanbase.

It was an asinine thread meant solely to go over the fact that Kirby isn’t a great gameday coach, which everyone accepts already. Recruiting is the #1 job of a cfb coach. Grading coaches independent of recruiting is silly. Kirby might be the best coach at the most important part of college coaching. He’s mediocre at other stuff. We understand.
In what world does a Mullen coached team ever have equal talent to a Kirby coached team? It’s not a realistic debate.
Mullen is absolutely a better coach. He is just not able to win a game against a team that Kirby coaches. Other than that, Mullen is way better though.
Because you said that recruiting is the number one job of college football coaches when it’s not. The job is actually in the title. It’s obviously a very important aspect of the job but the OP isn’t some insane proposition that warrants derision.

I think Coley would completely waste Fields's abilities, so I'm fine with Fromm. Fields is obviously considerably better in Day's offense than Fromm would be.
Fields was always who we wanted to take over. I still want to see what he does when Ohio St faces a team with talent close to them. He’s barely been pressured.
He got pressured like crazy vs Wisconsin, our OL had multiple breakdowns and he got sacked 4-5 times. Game didn't end up close but Fields didn't crumble vs an awesome D.
there was a little struggle but again, Wisconsin doesn’t have a quarter of the talent that Ohio St has
