Easily. isn’t he tied for the longest FG in the NFL? Spoiler but can’t hit an XP in OT in college, smh
Now that he's almost done, how do you describe Killins' career here? And will he get a shot at the NFL?
Despite the fact that he played for USF and nearly derailed our national championship, can't say anything bad about Quinton Flowers, dude was an absolute baller
Didn't see it until I just watched the replay but Otis's punt return for the touchdown reminded me a lot of Joe Burnett's in the 07 championship game against Tulsa. Spun out of the initial tackle and never got touched the rest of the way.
If he would have had anyone on that team to help him out (even to just stop getting dumb penalties) we would have lost. He almost beat us single handedly, some of those throws he made and scrambles were pretty incredible Grothe on the other hand I don’t remember being anything more than an a little bit above average game manager. Like a slightly more athletic Kyle Israel. Then again I try not to remember those years so what do I know
Was the penalty legit or another terrible call? Couldn't tell in-stadium although the fire alarm going off during the return was pretty cool. Had the TD stood with that fire alarm going off that would have resulted in some sort of nickname for sure.
The thing I don’t get about the AAC refs is why they got to discuss every penalty for like 2 min before finally calling it? If you think a penalty happened a throw a flag at it, wtf is there to discuss every time?
Heard tonight that DW is lobbying really hard for us to get in the military bowl against FSU or Miami while ESPN is lobbying their bowl partners to get us into any bowl game against a P5, specifically the Birmingham bowl against FSU. ESPN recognizes that we get people to tune in whether it’s because they want to see us win or want to see us lose, but either way they tune in if it’s against a P5
Yep, I would imagine they would do everything to not play us, but those would be the most interesting matchups TV ratings wise
Figured he would. Did he ever get put on scholarship? If Mack didn't have a baby I'd say he is certainly gone but that might complicate things for him.
The only shock would be DG going into the portal becuase he doesn't want to sit behind KZ if he is on track to return.
He ain't going anywhere. Even if Milton took the job back I think DG would be happy to sit for him and take his redshirt year and still have 3 to play.
Mack is still the backup either way. If KZ comes back, DG will redshirt and Mack will be the backup. If KZ doesn’t come back then DG starts and Mack is still the backup.
Agreed. And, if I'm Mack I'd give it another year at UCF and then go somewhere as a grad transfer. If he leaves he's going to have to sit a year anyway. May as well have a chance to play just in case DG goes down. I'm just going to assume KZ never plays again with the exception of taking a knee to get the W at the USF game next season.
"Everything is going great" and "he is working to get back on the field" but there isn't a timetable.
I was wondering if he had moved up graduating at all. If not then yeah he should stick around then grad transfer.
It probably depends on what Mack’s aspirations are for after college. If he wants to try getting into the league he is going to have to go somewhere for the exposure. However, maybe that isn’t his goal in which case he would be happy to just finish out playing ball here with his friends and vulture occasional touchdowns. I’ve never really heard what his goals for football are after college one way or another
He is supposed to get his brace off this month which for all intents means the injury is healed. Then it’s just regaining strength and range of motion. He has consistently said that he wants to get back on the field but prefaces it by saying if he can’t come back at the level he expects than he won’t come back at all. What that level is only he knows. Even an 80% KZ is still a top 10 QB nationally but only he knows if that is good enough for him. personally, I don’t think he comes back. The fact that he walked on senior night seemed like a closure type move to me. Like a “I’m going to try but I’m not as sure that I’m going to be able to as I had thought” type thing.
Wanted to see how Frost actually did with the lines in recruiting. Managed to fill about 3 of the 5 on the OL. DL a lot more misses. Overall its better than I thought it would be. 2016 Aaron Dowdell - Bust Jordan Johnson - Great Dedrion Bacote - Bust (Injury) Christian Beard - Bust Boman Swanson - Bust Trystan Hill - Great Joe Sanders - Bust (did he ever show up?) 2017 Jeremiah Zio - Bust Stephan Zayas - Might be ok Sam Jackson - Pretty good Kalia Davis - Pretty good Julio Castillo - Bust Mason Cholewa - Fine Cole Schneider - Pretty good
Do we know if Jaylon Robinson is going to be any good? He was the Oklahoma transfer that sat out this year.
So Tre and Marlon will be the two starters at WR, will be interesting to see who is the third and who starts in 4 and 5 wide packages
Can we really be lucky enough for USF to hire Taggart back? I feel like that would be mana from heaven, despite the fact that he was successful here before, I think he's shown he's not a good coach. I fear them being smart and hiring one of the good young coaches at the one of the lower schools https://www.tampabay.com/sports/bul...illie-taggart-discuss-bulls-football-vacancy/
