WTF happened to Country Music?

Haven't ever listened to Jerry Leger before. Really like this new album. Has kind of an Ian Noe type of feel, or maybe that's just me wanting new Ian Noe music that badly. Either way, almost through with the album and haven't found any songs I dislike

Had the CMA's on in the background for a bit in the early part of the show. Ashley McBryde won best new artist then got on stage and told a John Prine story. I love her.

I saw it after the fact, but seeing the CMA stage with Reba, Dolly, Martina, Sara Evans, Terri Clark, and The Highwomen was a beautiful sight

Didn’t go once Isbell and Musgrave backed out. Full refund luckily. Plus I started a new job so that probably wouldn’t fly.

My guys Shane Smith and the Saints are lucky to be alive. Bus burned yesterday, all their gear and equipment burned up. Still went to Lubbock, borrowed some instruments and played a show last night. Love 'em.

 

Damn they’re a great band. Hopefully they’re back up and running full steam soon

 

It’s a good one. I’d heard all the songs but there’s always the fear it’ll be overproduced and too polished. This one is just right

I can't imagine they'd come back without Evan. For better or worse, Evan is TT. Ryan's been touring with Reckless Kelly, RC has his band and I think Kyle has been with them as well. They've all found other gigs waiting on Evan.

 

i miss that band.

Tyler coming back from Europe to play the Ryman for 5 nights. Then jumping on tour with Sturgill.

I may just have to see him 3x in the next few months

Can't remember if Ags Connolly has been discussed at all, but he's pretty fantastic.

 

Just getting around to this Vincent Neal Emerson album. Fuck, it's good.

 

One of my favorites of 2019. He’s good friends with Colter Wall and opens for him fairly often.

 

That was my favorite song off of a really solid first album by him

Charles Wesley was really good. Played 10 or 11 songs solo acoustic, finished with a strong cover of Three Wooden Crosses.

Didn’t stick around for Ward Davis. Probably 40-50 folks there, solid crowd for a Sunday night show.
