Or at least their musicians. I turned on CMT for the first time in a decade and a video for The Band Perry came on. The dudes in the band look 10,000x gayer than anyone in any other genre could ever hope to be. Couple that with the faggit tendencies of Keith Urban and the Rascal Flatts queers and I weep for the future.
Yes, and since their target audience is among the dumbest groups of society, they can get away with unabashedly overproducing the shit out og their faggoty music. The original country music artists would shit in their pants if they saw what happened to the genre they helped create.
On the other hand though you could say, what happened to rap and look at Soulja Boy. What happened to rock? Look at Nickelback/Creed.
Originality in music is gone, every genre is getting played out. Now they have to make such radical changes in order to keep the music alive.
have you seen Nashville? i went for my 1st time in years last year and was shocked at how much ed hardy/affliction there was around the bars. New age country sucks ass.
Find the Red Dirt Country thread on here, and listen to the music in that. You will not be disappoint.
Zac brown was great friday night but he fagged up whipping post and essentially shit on duanes guitar
By the way, Sugarland is about my least favorite band EVER. That bitches voice and that fucking Stuck on You song make me want to pull my eardrums out with a Roto-Rooter.
Garth makes country influenced pop music. He put the final nail in the coffin of actual country music. He is a faggot and other than "much to young to feel this damn old" I've never enjoyed one song of his.
hate Sugarland. it's like she's trying to rap while sing country. my blood pressure is raised just thinking about it.
I live in Nashville and it used to just be the faggy executives in the business that looked like this but now it's the artists. 99% of the fans still look like Ronnie Dobbs though. Broadway on a weekend is fucking frighteningly gay nowadays.
Would add Josh Abbott Band and Randy Rogers Band. But these guys are proof there's still real country out there.
He definitely isn't traditional country but if you think that was his only good song you never gave him a chance. He has tons of good songs.. up until that faggy chris gaines shit.
In the spirit of real country... Chris LeDoux-This Cowboy's Hat Chris LeDoux- 8 Second Ride Cadillac Ranch - Chris LeDoux Cadillac Ranch - Chris LeDoux
Much like Alabama's loss to ULM I just chose to forget that this ever happened. He has too many other songs that I like to write him off forever.
Country music before 1995 > than anything afterwards George Strait is still one of my all time favorites.
I love George Strait but he doesn't write his own music so he loses a lot and can't be proclaimed the goat which I've seen many times on this board. Just like every other genre of music these days you have to no where to look to find the good stuff. As others have said, Jamey Johnson, Eric Church (although his new song is garbage), Ryan Bingham, and ZBB are some of the guys still putting out solid country music
Dale Watson - A Real Country Song I was a bigger fan of Tracy before his small comeback and that terrible song with kenny chesney. How the Cowgirl says Goodbye is one of my favorites.
Too each his own but you're probably the only person in the world that I've ever talked to that likes country and doesn't like the dance, unanswered prayers, friends in low places, etc.
I literally had never disliked an Eric Church song until I heard Homeboy. I am worried the new album is going to be shit. I can't believe that is what they released first, let alone the fact it is even on the album. Worried that he sold out. It is even worse since this album took fucking forever.
Wife asked me if I would go to a Lady Antebellum concert with her the other day. I politely asked her to remove herself from the room.
I was recently dragged to a Miranda Lambert show. She was awful. Justin Moore opened for her though and he put on a pretty damn good show.
