just binge watched this for the first time. god damn what a great show. just an incredible ending. boyd crowder is one of my favorite characters ever
almost done with the first season seems like they just cast the actress who plays Ava because she is from the south and naturally speaks with an accent. Not impressed with what she brings to to the table and IMDB shows she is in 78 episodes. Yikes there's plenty of violence and destruction so that's fun
Her character arc is good, her embodiment of the character gets better but she’s not a net negative for me. She’s no Skylar White.
Since when did Amazon Prime charge for Justified? I got sidetracked from the middle of a rewatch a few months back and now when I try to pick it back up they are charging $3 an episode
FX and Hulu got some partnership recently so probably around then https://decider.com/2020/01/09/fx-on-hulu-premiere-dates-programming/
Restarted a rewatch with the fiancée while we’re stuck inside. She’s loving it. And I’m loving watching season 1 for the 2nd time in just a couple of months
Doing a rewatch. Season 2 >>>. Just got to the episode with the meeting in the church. Goddamn this shit is good
Just finished the show for the first time. Sad I never picked it up originally but wow that was great.
Love Raylan’s quotes. “next one’s coming faster” has to be a top 5 cool quote from any shootemup piece of media on season 5 now so just got: “in other words, I’ll kill 4 of ya before you even pull your weapons, then take my chances with the other 2, and this star will make it legal”
Doing a rewatch and just got to "next one's coming faster". Still the coolest line from a TV show I've ever heard.
The season 5 scene where Dewey visits Dickie in prison is my favorite of the entire season. Just got to that in my rewatch. The look on Dickie's face when he sees him, and then the collect call he makes to Raylan, are just fantastic.
Knocked out season 6 pretty much all in the last couple days to avoid watching election coverage. I regret nothing. Such a great season to end it. Going back through the series for the first time since it ended made me kind of more impressed by the Boyd character they pulled off. You hear him talk and you see him so many times save himself from tricky spots with his savvy and instincts, but it hits you when you watch it that pretty much everything he tried to do blew up in his face in amazing fashion. Great outlaw, awful criminal.
Chadwick Boseman just wanted to be a magician. Instead he got his hand shot and his car stolen and then killed by the police.
Oh sweet stupid Dewey Crow. He just got caught on tape admitting to killing someone and that the heroin was his. Off to prison he goes again.
started this show a few weeks ago at the behest of the trillbillies. two seasons in. good, good shit seeing my way outta here so i don’t come across spoilers.
Season 4 Episode 10 has 2 of my favorite interactions Boyd: “You should've been on the other side with me and your daddy. you'd still be able to shoot people and be an asshole, your two favorite things, except you would be a rich asshole.” Chief Deputy U.S. Marshal Art Mullen: First thing we’re going to do is we’re gonna acknowledge that this guy’s awesome. Deputy U.S. Marshal Rachel Brooks: What? Chief Deputy U.S. Marshal Art Mullen: I mean, he shoots Theo Tonin, fakes his own death in a spectacular fashion, pushes a guy out of an airplane while he’s flying it, parachutes into Harlan County with enough coke and cash to jump-start the economy of a small country, and then he has the balls to get a job in law enforcement, not once but two times! He spends a couple of days riding around with you [points at Raylan] Chief Deputy U.S. Marshal Art Mullen: while you’re looking for him, and now he’s run off with a hooker that’s half his age. That’s some bad-ass shit.
