Weather sucks and I’m feeling fatigued and kind of down. Think I’m going to unplug from the news and drink this and watch ozark
So after going to the doc this morning and being recommended for a test, my Mom just got a call from the health department. She’s all set to get tested...Sunday. What a fucking joke.
Posts this, but consistently votes for trash that routinely defunds and denies science specific efforts and puts us all in danger. Dumb cunt.
But these incredible dolts will tell you how important it is to be prepared so you can pull yourself up by the bootstraps. The party of business hates doing math to calculate short run costs vs the long run, potentially catastrophic consequences.
You’re gonna see a lot of people die but then you’ll see people not dying, a lot of good things, a lot. Over to Mike Pence.
gotta say, its much better living in the state to the north, where the government has been proactive and transparent about what's happening and our current needs https://mn.gov/covid19/ https://mn.gov/covid19/data/response.jsp
Boy Scout Surgeon General using the Gov Kemp defense that they just found out that asymptomatic carriers spread a lot of virus. Trying to justify masks only now being important.
They recommended recently unemployed people to look at options on the healthcare exchanges, but went out of their way to avoid calling it the ACA. I hope a reporters ask them why they refuse to extend the enrollment periods.
Trump: very important to know that you can infect others if you have no symptoms (which a mask would mitigate) Also Trump: I can't see myself wearing a mask.
My asshole side is curious what trump would say about the SG’s subtle speech impediment if he crossed him. No doubt something very compassionate.
I couldn’t help but read this as “Boy Thcout Thurgeon General uthing the Gov Kemp defenth that they jutht found out that athymptomatic carrierth thpread a lot of viruth. Trying to juthtify mathkth only now being important.”
siap Google Launches Social Distancing Tracking Site Using Location Data posted by Bill Galluccio - Apr 3, 2020 Google has launched a new website that takes users' location data and uses it to track how communities are dealing with social distancing guidelines. The tech giant will release COVID-19 Community Mobility Reports, which highlight movement trends in six different categories: retail and recreation, grocery and pharmacy, parks, transit stations, workplaces, and residential. In a blog post, Google said that the data has been anonymized and will not track the exact number of people who are out and about. Instead, it will highlight an increase or decrease in the average number of people who are moving about in each of the six different areas. "The insights are created with aggregated, anonymized sets of data from users who have turned on the Location History setting, which is off by default," Google explained in the blog post. "Users who have Location History turned on can choose to turn the setting off at any time from their Google Account, and can always delete Location History data directly from their Timeline." The initial reports will cover 131 countries and regions, but the tech company hopes to release data on more areas in the future. They believe the data can be used by local health departments to craft specific social distancing plans and determine where the next COVID-19 hot spots will be. "For example, this information could help officials understand changes in essential trips that can shape recommendations on business hours or inform delivery service offerings. Similarly, persistent visits to transportation hubs might indicate the need to add additional buses or trains in order to allow people who need to travel room to spread out for social distancing. Ultimately, understanding not only whether people are traveling, but also trends in destinations, can help officials design guidance to protect public health and essential needs of communities." Fauci probably struggles to put himself in the mindset of a complete fucking idiot. Walk a mile in her shoes, Tony.
This is a red state. They listen to their "leaders" and they all have the same talking points. I say let them die or kill their loved ones, I just don't care anymore. Americans are too stupid for their own good and deserve whatever ends up happening to them. They can't be helped or saved.
Azar warned about pandemic threat in '19. After this reporter's question, he said that he was talking about pandemic flu and not something like the coronavirus Shouting down another female reporter
The press should en masse stand up, turn their backs, and walk out. Trump would go full on Nathan Jessep and confess to everything.
But...but...but it’s just like the flu :/ Trump knowing the Spanish Flu started here is the single most impressive thing she’s said in 3 years of hearing him speak as president t.
So the states weren’t prepared and that’s on them. But no one should have expected the federal government to be prepared and that is Obama’s fault.
guy does this daily but i hadn't scrolled through the thread in a few days we're 100% going to have the worst worldwide outbreak easily, even with the BUT CHINA deflections
Not one reporter challenged him on the fact that patients in NYC are going to be dying due to lack of vents in the next few days.
He quite literally does this all the time. I mean at this point he could order a nuclear attack on an American city by accident and most of the country would forget about it after a month. Then proceed to vote for him.
Someone should ask a Trump, “you keep saying that the before this pandemic that the economy had never been better. During times like that which are bountiful, why didn’t you replenish the stock pile? I mean squirrels don’t collect acorns in the snow of winter when they are scarcest but most needed.”
You can con your way out of a lot in politics and business, but not leadership in times when it’s needed more than anything else. I think you are far too cynical with regards to those who simply didn’t like Clinton last time or are republicans but do not identify with his base (which still exists but has lost control of the party). Maybe I’m too optimistic.
