I'm far too cynical of anyone who actually thought Trump was a reasonable alternative to Hillary Clinton? I don't like Hillary Clinton, but I wouldn't quite literally put people's lives in danger by putting someone in power who's not even qualified to run a fucking day care let alone the entire fucking country. I'd say my reasons for being cynical of one if the dumbest group of voters on the planet is pretty god damn reasonable, and this whole Joe Biden thing certainly hasn't changed my opinion on how fucking stupid the voting public of the United States is. This is what they want so I hope everyone is enjoying it.

As fucked up as this is, why I have time to catch up... the girlfriend (she is only 34) has fought a 2 plus year battle with cancer (metastatic osteosarcoma), she was placed into hospice last weekend, and for the past 3-4 days has been so drugged up on morphine/ativan/haldol that she can't interact with anybody. So I'm sitting in a room at a hospice facility with her for most of the day, and have nothing but time on my hands for most of it. I read much more than I post on here, so apologies for the dramatic drop (a few folks on the board know what has been going on). But anyways she was scared that Covid-19 would be what did her in. They tested her before she got moved to hospice and she was negative thankfully. The hospice facility also screens pretty extensively every day before you can enter. But anyways FUCK cancer. I'll continue to try and catch up with the thread.
I feel like 1300 deaths would be a number where drastic actions are taken but I don't really see that happening

So I'll just say that I hope you and she find some peace and perhaps even share some joy while you can -- however fleeting it is. I say that as someone whose only sibling had metastatic osteosarcoma.
