I get that people I may not know might die but what about me is how you should say this if you don't want to use as many words.
I didn't say anything about anyone not posting their opinion. I said I didn't quite understand some of them, and mentioned nothing specific. So, sure, if the governor says to open and the mayor says no then go ahead and tell whoever to fuck right off.
Yep. When this got out of hand early my wife and I concluded that social distancing and shutting things down would need to be two strategies of differing duration. It was a basic acknowledgement that shutting things down will have a limited life span...because our society. Once things opened up again we hoped that requirements for social distancing and masks would remain in place indefinitely. We also realized that as higher-risk citizens the re-opening would not include us.
I enjoy the starvation and economic angle. Like that already exists without the pandemic but I guess the difference is it's affecting the "right" people now.
I’ll agree. However, I think closing so much down forced many operators to creatively consider how to keep employees and customers safe when the re-opening is allowed. Hopefully they will implement their ideas.
I dont even think it's that. They know how bad it sounds to say "I know people will needlessly die, but I care more about the stock market" so they feign distraught over deaths of despair, as if we've ever cared about that as a country. Makes it even more gross imo.
this one is tough. We obviously can’t allow any food shortages but some of these plants have coronavirus spreading like wild fire. I have no idea how we balance that.
In England after the Black Death they passed laws to limit the expanded power of labor to ask for better wages.
the fed has gone out of fucking control edit: this Will be laid back with interest so it’s a loan not giving it away. Slightly different. I thought it was a handout but there should be certain requirements to take this money.
An interesting fence he’ll have to sit on. Meat plant workers are largely minority/immigrants, so sacrificing them was probably a very easy decision for him to make. But, he has now deemed these plants to be Critical Infrastructure, which by proxy means those minority/immigrant workers are critical.
This is from a restaurant in China. Lol at the post about getting someone’s “spit from another table”
But going to come in way under the 2600 from last week and the 2500 from the 14th. Probably well under the 2200 from the 7th as well.
Local beaches are reopening Thursday. All I’ve seen so far is the county is asking people to practice social distancing - no guidelines or anything provided.
Because i've been watching the numbers roll in for a month now. You can tell how a day is going to go by what the numbers are early in the day.
How have European plants keep the supply chain going while experiencing higher incidences of death loss due to CV-19 in the general population, referring to Italy and Spain with American designed plants?
so now we post 100s of Drs saying the exact opposite? In just about everything you can find one or two going against what the majority is saying.
maybe the thankfully applies to the low mortality rate and not the wages aspect? I mean, probably not, but its cuts off and there is no link
there’s rumors that they won’t open until June and also rumors that it will be for Florida residents only and have to pre pay tickets for certain days to limit capacity etc.
If we've learned nothing from climate change, it's that awful people refute science until they find that one scientist that agrees with them.
the goal was to have as few people die as possible. Opening back up too quickly is going to cause the exact opposite to happen. Since the first death a couple months ago almost 60000 people have died. But hey we got to get back to work so billionaires can make their money.
