Missed the 1st half, but that was really enjoyable. Creative and entertaining people doing creative and entertaining things.
I enjoyed that. Was glad to see Pratt isn’t too big/serious to still do all the goofy/dumb Andy stuff
yup edit: meant to only post the review tweet, not the one about Donna. she likes Gary, but doesn't let on to anyone else, so that didn't seem odd to me
Totally forgot about this. I have P&R set to record on Youtube TV but it didn't record the special. Hopefully it'll be On Demand, but if not I'll just find somewhere to stream it tomorrow.
The only thing I wish was different... I wish they didn't mention exactly what Leslie was doing for a career. The way they showed the flash forward in the finale, it was left ambiguous what she would be doing in the future. I know it's only 3 years after the finale, but it would have been a nice nod to that if they left it vague what she was doing today. Of course with our current administration's hatred of the environment and our national parks, maybe it makes sense she would stick around and try to help.
The finale took us beyond 2020, so nothing actually changed. This is before Leslie serves as governor of Indiana
I was thinking about this. I immediately wanted an office version of it, but it just wouldn't work. Those people are all just bad, antisocial dysfunctional characters. It would struggle even if Michael came back.
Definitely think all the people saying the good place is better than parks are just reacting to the newest thing. It doesn’t even come close
does he still work on 99 tho? I know he helped with its concept/inception, but im pretty sure he left it to do Good Place so it's kind of a Samberg and co show
Lol we’re watching Dexter (seasons 1-4 only, don’t worry) and there was a reporter on tv and I thought to myself “have I just heard Perd?” It was indeed our very own perd hapley interviewing the captain of the police in season 2. Got great joy seeing him out of Pawnee
Rob Lowe just had his first podcast episode come out today. It’s called “Literally “and his first guest is Chris Pratt. It’s on iTunes.
the same thing happened to me when my wife was doing a re-watch of Dexter. I heard Perd and thought she was watching PnR for some random reason.
Caught a bit of the pilot on Comedy Central this morning, and was amazed at how bad it is compared to season 2 and on. So glad they figured it out
Yeah, it took me a while to warm up to it for sure but it was great as it went on. My wife had watched it several times and always mentioned it but I never thought it was that good but start to finish it was terrific. Favorite characters for me were Ron, April, and Ben. Also comfortably in my top 5 and may be better than the office. Haven’t decided on that yet.
I like Parks more, overall, because of the characters. Though I think the office is more rewatchable if that makes sense.
Parks makes you smile, the Office makes you laugh. That subtle difference makes the Office more rewatchable but both are elite shows.
The Office had a 2-3 season run where it's probably the GOAT sitcom. But after about season 4 it starts to go downhill fast, and when Michael leaves it's mostly unwatchable. Parks is the superior show, sorry not sorry
In Parks, the main characters are generally likable, decent people, plus I'd argue they mostly individually are funnier. In the Office, they all kind of are horrible people in one way or another. Plus, ya know, Parks is funnier.
The Office isn’t laugh out loud funny to me. The relatability makes it funny. Parks has lots of laughs and great characters. A lot of their story lines are a little more on the wild side.
This is true. When the end credits begin to roll after each episode of Parks, I have a genuine smile on my face. I can’t say that about any other show
I've said this before, but Park is the overall better show by a fair margin for me. The Office has an equalizer though and that is the genius of Steve Carell.
I’ve recently binged New Girl and I have to admit, it’s waaayyy funnier than I thought it would be. Really liked it a lot, but it’s still firmly below Parks and The Office, imo
