Great game and smart of Rockstar to get all those people easy access into GTA Online for that micro-transaction $$$
I got it for like $13 a couple of months ago The load times in that game are inexcusable. There seemed to be a not-small number of hackers also.
I got 3 free months of Game Pass Ultimate with the purchase of my processor. Can’t redeem it because the processor isn’t installed yet, and I think it expires at the end of the month
I need a case, Windows, mouse, and keyboard to finish my build. I want the NZXT H510 Elite case. Out of stock everywhere. First mobo's were impossible to get, then power supplies, now the case; damnit.
What kind of mouse are you wanting? I love Logitech mice. I had an MX310 in the early 2000s. Went to a G302? Hyperion Fury, then a G403 and now a G403 Hero. I also really liked my Zowie FK. If you’re needing more buttons, some friends swear by their Nagas. I’ve also heard that SteelSeries and Corsair make great mice. I had a steel series Siberia V2 headset for years and loved it. I bought a pair of Kingston HyperX Cloud 2s and love them but they’re the more traditional headset. So many people today are getting stand mics with audio only headphones. That’s more expensive obviously.
I'm going to go with the Razr Deathadder v2, then go with Logitech G815 tactile keyboard, most likely. I always go back and forth on keyboards. $200 is a lot, IMO. Also was looking at SteelSeries Apex 7 TKL.
i got windows from here crazy cheap like 5 years ago. your mileage may vary but i've never had any issues.
Anyone getting the Command & Conquer Remake? 2 hours til it unlocks, I am excite. Favorite game from my childhood
Dualshockers gave it an 8. That's the only scored review I've seen so far, but everything seems positive so far. I'll be firing it up later on.
Excellent, I can't imagine how it would be bad, just hearing that music again will make it worth the $20. doubt it about Steam, i think i have one friend on there lol. I'm Kappasig390
Well after 6 years (and tons of stress from the OC i was running), my motherboard died over the weekend. Trying to find a x570 AM4 motherboard to replace it but I cannot find one in stock anywhere. I could go Intel again with the new 10th gen i7 but I was wanting to try out Ryzen this time around.
Can follow Robeytech on Twitter, he usually tweets when motherboards become available. Took me awhile to get mine. Now I can’t get the case I want.
I really wanted the NZXT H510 Elite case, but I don't know when it'll be in stock anywhere, and I want to have my build done by the end of June. Think I'm going to get the Fractal Meshify C White.
Now the most expensive game of all time and it’s still in alpha https://www.gamespot.com/articles/star-citizen-has-hit-another-ridiculous-crowdfundi/1100-6478462/
Star Citizen is basically the game I've always wanted but at this point I doubt I'll ever even try it
I’ve tried it twice on free weekends. It’s basically a tech demo. I don’t understand the draw of it honestly. amazing how many people have dropped 4 digits in that game.
We average folks may be able to ride into orbit via SpaceX before we get a 1.0 release of Star Citizen.
Posting from my new computer. Benchmark score wasn't as high as I thought it would be. To maximize settings and FPS, should you game in 1080p or 1440p? Would think obvious answer is 1080p to get super high FPS, but is there a difference between 90 @ 1440 vs 120+ @ 1080?
Depends on what you're playing. Whether you get 120 or 90 fps in civ 6 isnt going to matter really. It's going to be noticeable if you're playing counter-strike
Going to guess my main game will be Destiny. Scored a 9983, all stock @ 2560 x 1440 if that means anything, on 3DMark demo. I'm a total noob when it comes to PC gaming settings.
Those scores mean nothing to me but if you're getting 90 fps at 1440p, then just play at that until you notice fps drops that are big/frequent enough to annoy you
I also have a tolerance for shitty graphics and low frames because I distinctly remember when having a dedicated graphics card was a major luxury
I have tried every suggestion out there to fix it, short of making a virtual lan with one of those shady programs At some point we just accepted the extra 20 seconds per turn
Rejoining the master race. Just bought an Alienware R8. Don’t know much about pc hardware these days so I hope it doesn’t suck. Really looking forward to playing games at more than 30-60 FPS.
That’s a good build. Plan on running in 4K? Will have no problems running 100+ at 1440p. I’d upgrade the RAM.
The one I went with has an i7-9700, RTX 2070 Super, and 16 GB of RAM. Shouldn’t be too hard to upgrade to 32GB of RAM around cyber Monday if I need it. Also will probably grab another SSD if I need it in a few months. I have a 4K monitor so I’ll do it if the rig can handle it.
I have a headset and mic combo that I use for PC gaming and communications, but I really want to use my studio headphones for sound quality and they are not near as heavy and my set up right now. Anyone able to recommend a CHEAP stand alone mic that I can use along my studio headset. Cheap like, less than $50. Open to spending more, but don't want to spend a lot.
Delayed response but the DLC for Civ 6 has been pretty transformative. Gathering Storm with all of the climate change stuff is especially cool (and you get my favorite civilization, the Maori). Steam will often have bundle sales on the whole shebang, I would recommend getting it all.
