Also, the major reason the world capital for filmmaking is Hollywood, California is because it’s as far away in America as you can get from New Jersey and Edison’s goon squad who constantly harassed the independents.

No. Edison “invented” a better filament for the lightbulb. “Invented” means like a dozen people who worked for him all experimented with different versions until the person who then invented it lost any and all patent rights per his employment contract with Edison.
