SkilleyBinner raises a good point. Walker always got the bad guy and never carried a gun. There is a lesson in there.
There’s not too much to it, but here you go. I joined a league from an invite from a friend and did not know anybody else. Ends up that there is a family that has 3 members in the league and one of them is a cop. Commish told me that they aren’t playing this year due to the NFL’s stance on kneeling, BLM, protesting etc. Edit add on: I don’t know their side, but it does make you feel pretty good that a LEO has this type of stance.
I assumed it was a personal issue with other players in the FF league supporting blm, so thanks for clarifying.
I see you’re still a big believing the whole if you just comply nothing will happen myth, what other myth and fairy tales do you still believe in?
Pure professionalism when they go back to Elijah McClain murder scene and take a re-enactment selfie and send it to the murderer as a joke and thinks it’s so funny that three white cops have smiles a mile long in their selfie .......nothing says trust me I’m a cop like that
I have to believe that if you comply you have a significantly lower chance of something bad happening than if you scream in their faces and threaten them. But I am only going off of common sense here which I don’t think appeals much in this thread.
I love the herp derp common sense nonsense, if you’re the wrong skin color it does not matter whether you comply or not.
Some factions of Boogaloo are not far right white nationalists, they’re just pure anti government gun toters that think we should police our own.
Cops should be in favor of this bc it means less interactions but I doubt they would support it bc it would mean less jobs for them.
Considering many have died while complying, no, complying doesn't mean that would have definitely ended differently.
Hi, yes literally the protests over George Floyd's murder were literally about how compliance doesn't work.
when I was in high school and police officer showed up at a kegger and everyone ran away and we didn’t comply we all deserved to be pumped full of lead ? You sound like a nice guy
Wait a minute. Complying with a group of armed vigilantes hunting him down in the street? You pivoted from complying with cops to complying with armed racist civilians? Get all the way the fuck out.
My bad, i was thinking about Ahmad Arbrey. Rayshard is the other dead black man in Georgia who was compliant until cops unnecessarily escalated with him, and took what cops claim is a non-lethal weapon but nonetheless met him with lethal force. Yep. You can still fuck off.
I believe the argument he is making is that non-compliance will always escalate the situation and result in worse outcomes. Not that compliance will always completely eliminate police wrong-doing or police will never escalate the situation otherwise.
SkilleyBinner there are posters who would like you to not post here anymore. When you don’t comply would you consider it appropriate if someone showed up and shot you dead? That would solve the problem of you continuing to post.
There are a lot of people who have this weird programming in their head that reminds me a lot of the slap fighting siblings go through. If you had a bratty sibling, or you were the bratty sibling, you'd argue weird non-points to justify that THEY did something bad or cool, so YOU get to hit them really hard or do something really cool. Like, "Mom! Frankie went in to my room and took my toy! I get to take his chicken nuggets!" Or some insane, illogical tit for tat. Often times it involves violence, like he hit my nuts, i get to slap him in the head! A lot of people never actually get that corrected, and warp it in to some weird, violent zero-sum situation. They get to college and it becomes like, "My roommate drank my beer! I'm not taking the trash out." They don't grow out of it, and they see policing as a surrogate to "get them back," whoever they are, with the petty violence they have grown up to identify as justice. At least, that's one way of getting to that point. The amount of people who dismissed rape of children in the immigrant internment camps in the US because "its their parents' fault for bringing them here" is a lot, like a whole lot, and the attitude comes from a lifetime of these nobsensical justifications
Can’t wait to see all the photos of police brutality against folks not complying with mask mandates that will ultimately prove you correct!
I love when someone just starts doing the "man, this fucking board!" and "classic TMB groupthink" but doesn't even begin to argue a counterpoint. Just tells themselves they made a good point and it's everyone else who is being unreasonable despite no evidence to support their position. The arrogance is a nice little cherry on top of the stupidity.
Don’t know if it’s an alt account. There are no shared IPs and I don’t recall anyone being from where it traces.
Philando Castile was pulled over 49 times over 13 years. He also complied with cops the last time he was pulled over and then they murdered him.
A guy I played FF with quit our league back when the Kap stuff first happened because he didn’t want to support the nfl if the players were going to kneel.
