Pre COVID, and hopefully post there has been plenty of rumbling about a 4th manufacturer getting in. Last I heard people thought Honda might be it.
Oh yeah, they have an IMSA team. Realistically it didn't sound like anything would happen before 2023, and that was pre-COVID so who knows now.
WTF? FBI says Bubba Wallace not a target of a hate crime The FBI said it has concluded its investigation in regards to the noose found in the team garage of NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace and determined he was not the target of a hate crime. "The FBI learned that garage number 4, where the noose was found, was assigned to Bubba Wallace last week," the FBI said in a statement. "The investigation also revealed evidence, including authentic video confirmed by NASCAR, that the noose found in garage number 4 was in that garage as early as October 2019. Although the noose is now known to have been in garage number 4 in 2019, nobody could have known Mr. Wallace would be assigned to garage number 4 last week." The FBI added: "The decision not to pursue federal charges is proper after reviewing all available facts and all applicable federal laws. We offer our thanks to NASCAR, Mr. Wallace, and everyone who cooperated with this investigation.” NASCAR also issued a statement regarding the FBI's decision saying, "We appreciate the FBI’s quick and thorough investigation and are thankful to learn that this was not an intentional, racist act against Bubba." "We remain steadfast in our commitment to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all who love racing," NASCAR said. The discovery of the noose Sunday afternoon in Wallace's garage stall comes as the United States, and NASCAR in particular, more squarely address America's systemic racism in the wake of the police killing of George Floyd. Wallace, the only Black driver in NASCAR's top circuit, has been an outspoken advocate of the Black Lives Matter movement and the corresponding protests against racism and police brutality.
Everything was addressed in the Bubba Wallace thread, so bumping this thread doesn't make us look like we were ignoring it.
Anyways this weekend is a Pocono doubleheader on Saturday and Sunday. Teams can only use one car. Side note, it would be bad ass if they did a doubleheader with an oval and race course or hell a Roval the same weekend. Saturday was a draw for the lineup, can't find how they are going to lineup. I need this for DFS purposes.
Charlotte DH with oval then roval would be fun. Wonder if they would have enough time to switch it over?

Jimmie Johnson tests positive and is out of the race Sunday. Damn. Allgaier gets his ride, which will be fun at least.
this whole season has been just the worst for his final year. Sucks he’s not getting to have a send off like 24 did.
Someone could have gotten seriously hurt there. Not saying this guy isn't but he was able to move out of the way afterwards
It's kind of amazing guys aren't seriously hurt in pit road more often. The cars are still going 55 mph. Basically doing work next to a highway
They really need to run the road course instead. Maybe we’ll get a good finish out of this, but Xfinity race yesterday was much better.
