Back when I first got itt, there was a NB 997 that Sneakernews dubbed the Budweiser. Its one of the first pairs i remember really wanting. I loved the shoe but never pulled the trigger. Finally found them on StockX for below retail and the guy accepted my offer last night. https://www.the-mainboard.com/index...bitchesgottalearn.159624/page-22#post-9712664

I will not. They have them at the bookstore and I’m going to get them tomorrow, they look great in person. The green pair doesn’t suck either.
I have 2 pairs of UA shoes and they are surprisingly decent. I have better but the UA’s are worth their ~$100 tag.
I just personally don't like them. I don't lie the logo. Im sure they are fine shoes, just not something I'd wear.
I never saw those called Budweisers, just the ski theme since they were tied to winter Olympics somehow
Maybe newbalance couldn't make up their minds on what they wanted to call/brand them http://www.baitme.com/new-balance-men-997-connoisseur-ski-m997csiy-red-navy-silver-nbm997csiy-65 I can't find a different item code for them other than the m997csiy that's inside mine.
Yea i made a post expressing my confusion back then too lol. Anyways, happy to get them 5 hears later.
open spot above the window seems like the perfect spot for a nike logo of some sort, either stencil painted, or a store sign if you can find one for a reasonable price
Snkrs sucks ass. I could not have been quicker with the dunks today and of course didn’t get them. I’ve gotten most of my stuff elsewhere lately.
Also not a Star Wars guy at all, but reversing the order of Ultra Boost on the heel cup was a nice touch.
We are expecting baby #2 in early March. Hit the x 2 button for the daycare bill...there goes the shoe money.
Yeah I think DBL said something the other day that made sense. SNKRS is now kind of like a lottery for every pair, you “enter” when you hit buy, and once they get a certain number of entries, they start randomly assigning W’s. So it doesn’t really matter when you hit the “price“ to buy. It’s a random thing now. I may be interpreting what he said completely wrong, but that explanation makes way more sense in my experience of why I don’t get many W’s.
Ultra boost blackout update - https://www.the-mainboard.com/index...blplay1212-linx.164609/page-522#post-15281221 They survived as a pretty frequent daily driver and long walking shoe since I did this in February. Each heel midsole got little knicks that gouged out some boost foam, but other than that there has been zero cracking, peeling, flaking, etc. I went to touch up the boost this morning and decided to do the cages, heel cups, and tongue tabs. That’s drying now. As an experiment I might see if I can dye the primeknit of my even older busted ass ultra boost st, which are blue. Would be kind of neat if you could give new life to older shoes by blacking them out. Could end up being more trouble than it’s worth. One other note - leather doesn’t seem to hold the dye well. I had a blue leather apple folio that was getting really grimy, so I dyed it black for shits and giggles. The blue is working it’s way back through after a few months.
It took me a while to appreciate it - I particularly loathe how boxy/rigid the thing is. But eventually I warmed to it. The dividers are kind of genius, and though its size is pretty limiting, it also fits in the overheads of those dinky ass commuter jets as a result.
My only issue is the little metal button pieces on the bottom. 2 of them have had the round piece come off so now it won't slide on carpet bc they catch on the carpet. Been meaning to message them for a while.
Duffel. There's a metal button near each corner on mine. I assume they are there to help with wear on the bottom of the bag.
